Hi there!!

Can anyone here including DarkVash help me out??

Actually i downloaded the darkvash release of fear 2 ( having 122 rar files in it ( 121 files of size 95.7 mb and 1 having size 3.68 mb ) ).

It was something named tengo medio.

So Anyone of you having the dark vash iso of fear 2 , can u ppl please compress your iso into rar files and split them to form 121 files of 95.7 mb and 1 file will automatically at the end be of 3.68 mb.

And upload rar 84 - 89 for me ?? :-|

Just to try and help out a little... some things to pay attention to during this process.. some hardships I ran into. Trying to write this noobish.. sorry for stating the obvious for most people! I got this working perfect so it does work, I used this download from demonoid... http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/1791982/8122840/

I re-upped the versions of SimPack and revLoader you will need and edited the files that needed to be edited already except for rev.ini in which you only need to change directory of steamclient.dll also added .txt's with some instructions, nothin major :) ... download the SimPack/revLoader combo zipped below if download here does not work I've created a torrent for them available through Demonoid http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/1 ... 1244628287 reply to this post asking for an invite code if you need an invite

  • Correct Simpack.exe needed (as stated previously) had to surf forever to find it due to previous uploads not working so here is a re-up of version that worked for me
  • Make sure to name the names exactly as Warrior specified! I made the mistake by naming my "ProjectOrigin_disk1.sim", "ProjectOrigin_disk1_.sim This will make it not work! Be sure to check re-named files carefully.
  • Copy SimPack.exe and all contents to FEAR 2 game folder AND into a "source" folder ASWELL to ensure SimPack works, this made mine work! (folder will be C:\Fear\source or what ever your FEAR 2 game folder is) Do same with revLoader just to make sure.
  • I'm using Windows Vista 64x edition and I ran into this problem.. I had FEAR 2 extracted to C:\Games\FEAR2 but the problem is I couldn't switch to that folder in DOS (command prompt) to run SIMPACK (simpack should be in the fear game folder) I couldn't even switch to C:\FEAR2 the only thing that worked for me is changing the directory of my FEAR 2 to C:\FEAR the command to switch in Command Prompt (DOS..same concept) to this folder is... first type cd\ (hit enter) type C:\FEAR (hit enter) type SimPack (hit enter) this assumes your FEAR 2 has the same directory as mine. Yours might look like C:\Games\FEAR 2 I HAD to change mine to C:\FEAR to get it to work.
    * to open command prompt (we'll call it DOS) look in accessories folder in start menu programs or search with windows search command prompt
  • When extracting with SimPack, follow Warrior's instructions exactly. Type the following...

    simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk1.SIM -g16451 -kF183E845B8A0A340CBD6F7922427D7C1 c:\FEAR2 (or whatever folder your FEAR 2 game is in mine is C:\FEAR)
    simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk1.SIM -g16452 -k4E185BE9D186A792EC1E1A03FED362C2 c:\FEAR2
    simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk1.SIM -g16454 -kE34CE97D2DC32B73AF5536FD3F07EDF0 c:\FEAR2
    Then continue for disk 2 after you're done with disk 1 type the following
    simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk2.SIM -g16451 -kF183E845B8A0A340CBD6F7922427D7C1 c:\FEAR2 (same directory as disk 1)
    simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk2.SIM -g16452 -k4E185BE9D186A792EC1E1A03FED362C2 c:\FEAR2
    simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk2.SIM -g16454 -kE34CE97D2DC32B73AF5536FD3F07EDF0 c:\FEAR2

    Make sure you write EXACTLY an easy way to do disk 2 is when you're ready to extract disk 2, instead of typing it all out just hit the arrow key up and it will display the last entered text, go back and switch _disk1.SIM to _disk2.SIM

I'm not too advanced with this stuff but I'm willing to help as much as I can. Thank you so much Warrior for your tutorial and everyone involved in cracking FEAR 2!

, followed the guides hero but cant get it to work!
I am really stuck on step 3 where I have to use CMD for the extraction, It doesnt fucking recognize "Simpack" as a command no matter whatever I write!
I have the files on D:\FEAR
Anyone mind giving some helping to the newbie here?
Am getting really frustrated! :mad:

So, I have the same problem with the simpack and it doesn't work when I enter the commands into cmd.exe. I tried getting the version of LordSte's that was posted a while back, but I also have another problem. Any time I try to download something from a post in CS.Rin.Ru I get a message saying "Unable to Deliver". Any help would be appreciated

I use vista 32-bit and when I start Simpack.exe it opens up as CMD then closes in less than 1 second. Halp plox

thats cos you probably double clicked on the simpack.exe? you need to open command prompt and change to directory where it is located and run it from there. Best is to copy simpack contents to location of your sim files and run it from there. And if you're extracting to a folder that has a space in it you need might need to put double quotes around it eg,

simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk1.SIM -g16451 -kF183E845B8A0A340CBD6F7922427D7C1 "C:\Program Files\Games\Fear2"


I can't seem to get this simpack to start...sigh...i having the same problem but cant seem to understand the full instructions of the solution :(

Ok with simpack, you don't open it like you would any other program. What I did to make simpack work is extract all the simpack files in the FEAR 2 game folder. In my case, my simpack.exe is in C:\Fear\simpack.exe There should also be a folder with simpack called source or just simpack, put all these files in the same folder where the simpack.exe is but ALSO have those files still in the folder but make sure that folder is in the FEAR 2 game folder. In my case again, the folder is C:\Fear\source\simpack\(these will be all the simpack files like _make.bat decrypt.c etc.) So the simpack.exe will be in the FEAR 2 game folder C:\Fear\simpack.exe and the rest of the simpack files will also be in the FEAR folder and a copy of those files will be in C:\Fear\source\simpack\ Now to run simpack.exe with Command Prompt. To get to Command Prompt, (with vista), click the Start button, click All Programs, click Accessories, then click Command Prompt to open. When it's open, first thing to type is cd\ then hit enter. Now if your FEAR 2 is in C:\FEAR type cd\FEAR hit enter. You should now be in C:\Fear in the command prompt to make sure you're in the right folder type dir/w and hit enter. In the list, you should see simpack.exe, if you don't you either don't have simpack in the right folder or you're in the wrong folder in command prompt. If you do see simpack.exe simply type simpack and it should load the follow by typing out the commands expressed earlier. Now if your FEAR 2 is another folder, it's essentially the same.. like instead of cd\Fear type cd\games\fear2 hit enter or wherever your FEAR is. To get into another drive with command prompt like if your harddrive is D: then in command prompt, type cd\ hit enter, then type D: hit enter or whatever letter your harddrive is. You should now be in that drive.

You get that error when simpack.exe isn't in the folder it should be or maybe the files that go with simpack.exe aren't there. What worked for me is this.. have simpack.exe in D:\FEAR\ all the files that go with simpack should be D:\FEAR\source\Simpack\(_makebat.bat, decrypt.c etc.) Once you have simpack as such open command prompt, type D: hit enter, then cd\FEAR hit enter.. command prompt should say D:\Fear> now type simpack and hit enter, it should tell you Use: Simpack <commmand> etc. now type what Warrior posted before

Thank you so much RebelFXerr I followed that exactly and it worked like a charm. The only minor problem was I used the exact code from your cmd and there is an extra A in there second from the last letter. Thank you for the help.

Ok, I worked out the whole deal with the simpack, but now my revloader program does not seem to be working right. Every time I try to use it I get the error "The application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." So I'm not completely sure that I did the whole rev.ini thing right. Could someone post a screenshot of theirs so I can compare.
