just write how i can got same version as yours

the game work if u are luky... same file in other pc don't work!
I have cft common and retail dvd client file and the game work well... my friends whit same in lan pc have same issue, after the video game crash...

Is it possibly more of the region setting bull shit like with the demo?

If it would be a region problem, then I have to wait till tomorrow, because L4D2 will unlock on 11/20/09 here in Germany.

The new version is working for me (the last one was working, too).
But now joining a dedicated server in LAN is possible.

The only thing thats not working is the archivements which are not saved.


I don't think it's a region problem because I'm from Germany too and it's working 100%.

i'm from russia and l4d2 already unlocked for my country.And the game is not censored

what fresh release are u using?

I've downloaded the common data with CFToolbox and the client data is from Nano's release in this thread:

Tried the same as you sebi707 and it still does not work for me. God I hate this...I think I will go and buy L4D2 instead.

Now I'm totally confused.

If I use the Client.dll Stryder posted last time, then I can get into the main menu and it crashes at the map loading screen when the loading reaches 100%... any other DLL causes silent CTD's with a client.dll.xxx.steamstart file being created.

omg i just wanna play the campaign lol first MW2 and now this. still crashing after the movie.

client.dll.xxx.steamstart files are created for me too but they're just empty.

Excuse me... CPAMX, wouldn't it be better if you make a patcher to crack the user's game? I mean, if I understood the CEG protection right, everyone has different executables for the game, so I think the same crack for everyone should not work properly.
Am I kinda right?

Yeah first MW2 doesnt start, now L4D2 I really hate steam now

I'm on it Writing atm a custom left4dead2.exe which is not by Valve And about the silent crash when the map loads will be hopefully fixed soon too it seems its related to CEG with a Event. I will post it as soon its fully functional meanwhile this crack should do its job.

its not so simple, CEG protection is in client.dll, Steam generate this client.dll but I don't know how the hell is generated! I hope someone will understand if it will generated

however, my game works, and do not understand why... i'm fucking lucky
