need a real proper crack without crashes

And I can confirm this as well. I had a 'clean' install, "Left 4 dead 2 Common" downloaded with CFToolbox, Nano's "Left 4 dead 2 Client" from the sticky. After the changes above (without the last two, tried only single player) everything seems to work, whole main menu seems working. I played for about 10min without a crash so far. Didn't encounter the chainsaw, explosive ammo or anything, so don't know about that, but melee seems to work (baseball bat galore). WinXP x32.

The guide above worked for me, but I get some random crashes.
But its cooler to have a working "give chainsaw" and special common zombies!

That would hardly be a 'little package' since it's the whole game + the .dll. Get the main files as I said above (or otherwise, never know if this'll work with the other torrent releases), and You can get the .dll from razor's patch here. Then do what hgd said and keep Your fingers crossed.
Explosive ammo works as well btw.

With the CPAMX crack I played for over an hour with the chainsaw, all zombies, etc without crash or lag, but the next day it did not work . Config : Vista 32 and I have no internet .
why it stopped working ?

the Nov. 20 at 2h am = dont work

but here it's uninstalled, I had uninstalling to try the RAZOR version , So I'm going to reinstall and change the date. i keep you informed

Is that possible that the game works only if the date of client.dll is the same as windows ???
Worked for me the nov. 19 with client.dll dated 19 ...

I finally got the game working with one of the cracks posted here (from a chinese guy, sorry forgot name n stuff) which uses rev emu. The uploader said, that the game can crash randomly and it does, so I upload the minidump files here (2 minidumps), maybe one of the crackers can use them for the crack development.

I've tried changing the creation date of the client.dll to today's date, but it still crashes after a few mins.

Finally got this thing working!

All with Multiplayer, Single Player, Melee weapons, no witch crash etc.. All working properly!
Except the ending credits are the demo's and achievements are disabled..

Step 1: Download Madwiggy's version http://www.mininova.org/tor/3167044
Step 2: Install it by extracting the 7zip file...
Step 3: Download HybridCrack by JIEgOKOJI.7z ( http://rghost.net/627980 )
Step 4: Copy the whole sound files from L4D 2 Demo to the madwiggy l4d 2 folder
(Some music cues don't work, but this step is optional.)
Step 5: Change your date to Oct 29 2009 (timezone Hong Kong)
Step 6: Play and enjoy!

Flaws:

Can't change name
Ending credits are demo's

That's all there is to it...

Although it's weird since I can't see hazmat zombie, only hazmat zombie corpses...

But either way, it's working great!

Sorry I haven't followed this whole thread, What is the deal with changing the date?

Also I got a mate who bought the legit game and gave me the left 4 dead 2 folder and I've tried all the cracks so far game crashes after bought 5 - 10 mins every time.

This method worked using razor rls but all text is in russian. I tried with revldr but with no luck. How to fix it?

go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam and change launguage to English.
