download zero gear files will not work. I re created the folders as said. You cannot run from My Games list, so I ran from ZeroGear.bat, got in game, in great hopes, but it kicked me in 2 min. So really the only way I think possible is if you were lucky enough to get a key to 'activate' your account of zero gear.

i wonder what causes that... i don't see kicking connected to steam in any way what so ever, because the only difference is, others Have it on steam, the files are the same. Anyone maybe undead patch or steamup ?

How about adding non-steam game ?

just tried with undead, game list works fine, but Zero Gear isn't included on the list =\. I REPEAT, i tried undead patcher, but zero gear isn't on the list.

do u all have suck folders as "client" maybe it has something to do with the steam_api.dll, try maybe loading the old zens0red crack to it ?

your right i replaced the steam_api.dll

now i can actually 'run' the zero gear game using zerogear.exe in client folder. Although it doesn't really help.

Anyone noticed that this trick works with every game?
I tried a .bat to exe compiler.
Just need to use a bat to exe file, for example AA3.
Main exe: AA3Game.exe
So you need to make your bat:
Code: Select all | Line number On/Off | Expand/Contract
  1. cd c:/blablablabla/Call Of Duty MW2
  2. start iw4mp.exe

that would be AA3Game.bat become AA3Game.exe

that trick is the same as zero gear, you replace the files inside, and create a bat file to run the mw2 mp, it tricks the steam when you launch from my games list. yes it does work, but you won't be able to play and you'll get the "could not connect to steam lobby" error because when you a join a game, it chooses a host, and 9.9/10 of the time everyone is using zero gear beta crack. your running aa3, or for anyone else a different game, but basically you need the same type of crack as the host. People have done this method already with zombie bowl o rama demo at first.

really ? did u activate zero gear by beta key, or dit u download the package with zero gear and replaced the files

Is it possible that one could use this same method to get Serious Sam HD to work for Co-op play as well ? If so, how would one go about it. Sorry about the thread hi-jack, but if someone could shed some light onto this, I'll appreciate it.
