Seems that you have Old Sourcemod or Addons Installed. i meant addons to L4D1 Maps/Characters Addons. Well could you please remove them and run the game ? This is a VALVe bug itself, as many game addons aren't compatible with v2.0.1.6 Game.

Use, Source Mod Snapshot 1.4.0 or 1.3.2, with no addons.

The link "Left 4 Dead 2 Master Update Version 2.0.1.6 ~ 1022MB" is wrong. It is not 2.0.1.6, but 2.0.1.1.

Could you fix it to be able to do a real master and unique update to version 2.0.1.6? Thanks.

My L4D2 was working fine,but when I installed the newest update it always crashes before the main menu

What's the problem?

EDIT:

Fix'd the game doesn't crashes anymore but I can hear any sound,gunshots or voices!
I think something is missing in my sound folder...can anyone upload his l4d2 sound folder in megaupload please?

I tryed that but it stays as "loading" and nothing happens.
I've been waiting 1 hour

for temporary,

Just extract this to your Left 4 Dead 2 Directory...

1. sound.cache file in left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\sound Folder.
2. modelsound.cache in left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\ Folder.

And then Run the game.
