As the 2 games run on exactly same engine i was thinking its possible for cz players to play with cs players. The server rejects me when I goto cs console and type connect "ip of cz server" So dproto overrides the check of players version why not players game too?

That would be a very bad idea, considering Condition Zero and CS 1.6 do particular things (hostages for example) particulary different.
