Wallhacking is done at the Client side using custom materials. Using SV_Pure 1 or 2 prevents this, but Standalone users can bypass this since there is no real place to get a non-hacked version.

I thought "materials" were only used in the Source engine?

Well, those are packed in WADs, so you could still call them materials, don't you?

That's true, but I thought the term materials only applied to games on the Source engine, that's why I enclosed it between quote marks. ::)

Alright, that's true.

However, back to topic: There is nothing you can install to your server to prevent cheating at all, there will always be hacks you cannot block. Active admins are the best solution.

Wrong, wrong, and wrong. There are no "materials" used in wallhacks for the goldsrc engine. They are done through hooking engine, studio, or openGL functions. Simply put, you can't stop them with the anti-cheats that are out now. If you want to go ahead and buy the only high quality anti-cheat - ESEA's AC, for an outrageous amount of money, be my guest.

Otherwise, if you care enough to prevent hackers, be on and/or have trusted admins govern your servers. Note to all admins: the "ac" that binds keys like home, ins, and function keys to say something and kicks if that text is matched can easily be countered with bind ins "" per say, it's pointless.
