If someone uses XFire, probably noticed he can't run games from it if he does not own them, because XFire uses a Steam Link to run games. Seems like i found a nice program who 'Emulates' Steam but simply ONLY runs the requested game. It's called FireSteam, there it is, And my 'guide' too.
You just have to download this and put all the games you want in: /FireSteam/SteamApps/Games/<Game Name>/ E.G. CS:S, FireSteam folder is in C: ...
Put Every File (From where HL2.exe is) in C:/FireSteam/SteamApps/Games/Counter-Strike Source/ You should now have HL2.exe and every CS:S-related file in that folder.
If you need to add any game who's not actually in that list, just edit the Steamer.ini file, next to the "Fake" Steam.exe application.
When you're done, run Setup.bat. After it, every time you run Original/Cracked steam, you have to run Setup.bat again. Then, just re-detect games on XFire.
I do not own this program, i just found it from This website.
HOW TO EDIT STEAMER.INI
Spoiler
First: Open it with Notepad or every other text editor. Now you see a list like
That's all you need to add a game to the list: First: Add a new line. Then insert the AppId, then the Game's name you will see when you will run it from the 'new' Steam.Exe, then the Folder's name inside SteamApps/Games/, then the Exe you will need, the parameters, and 'show'. If Show is 1, it will be seen from 'our new' Steam.exe, else if it is 0, it will not be shown. REMEMBER: USE ";" BETWEEN VALUES.

XFire runs games using Steam.exe, not by just using hl2.exe. hl2.exe is only used for detecting if the game is running, not for starting it. I think. EDIT: HL2.exe only for source games of course.
