Hehehe, indeed ive been starting server literally 150 times last night, to check all options and if it stayed online etc... just with in mind to minimize the options in the cfg, to minimize the chance on a crash???? And i HOPED it wouldnt crash anymore, so we could build on from there hehehe, it did 2 times since last night, mines still up for now with people fragging heavily (knocks wood) I,m keeping my hopes up! |

thanks allot! if this works it will make my server autorestart for real now already got rid of the windows error message saying 'program has stopped working' too folowing this guide: http://www.vistaheads.com/forums/micros ... ialog.html (last post) i guess only vista users get this 2nd nasty error msg preventing a server restart edit: ok i dont know if it has been mentioned yet, but i have had multiple reports from players on my server saying that shooting someone who is behind a static machine gun will crash the server, does anyone might know if its posible to remove this machine gun from the maps? |

Only Assault with 20 rounds and 1 hour timelimit. And for every map I checked xml that it allows Assault game mode. Grrr... Why you like instant action so much? It's like COD but with NanoSuit! Objective based teamplay rulz! |

Does the time actually work??? tried several things here and nogo... Probably nogo for IA and TIA... I took Terminal also out also my map rotation, since it was error logged... seems to go fine, this evening it switched "all" maps without crash! with 5 players in. (Only got a few mapz for now) Lighthouse also caused a server crash last night, but i love that map so much i left it in to be sure, still works fine B.t.w GG,s guys x) I,m Administrator in-game Nomad, 20Mbit upload? Thats! Horny!! |

Thats! Horny!! i cant get the darn time to work either, no matter what i do it stays at 10minuts unless i manually type g_timelimit xx in the dedicated console box for every map. |

Xtremage wrote: Does the time actually work??? tried several things here and nogo... I setup every Assault map like that:
Actually it works, you can really play for that long. But it returns incorrect value (g_timelimit shows 2.5, which is actually time of round in Assault, not time of current map) Xtremage wrote: Nomad, 20Mbit upload? Thats! Horny!! It's good for everyone, but not for me. I have terrible network lags when playing, because play on the same machine with dedicated server. Technologeek wrote: LOL... Actually 20 rounds in Assault completed in about 30 minutes, so it crashes after about 1.5 hours. It has never reached end of levelrotation.xml! Really need to find the way to get 'randomize' working. Any ideas? |

Awww no i have a second AMD X2 2.8Ghz dual core pc 2Gb Ram, decscribed in my first post, special for this server now lol 35/3.5Mbit Docsis3.0 cable/fiber connection. A dedicated server is ment to run on its own machine to have best quality, you can run more dedicated server softwares on 1 machine if connection and CPU/RAM/HDD power is enough. Copied from crysis1: Hardware Recommendations In order to provide a solid base for a Crysis dedicated server it is recommended to use following hardware: CPU: Intel Core2Duo 2.4GHZ or AMD64 Dual Core 2.6GHz RAM: 1GB Bandwidth: 5Mbps End. It will run on a ie: 1600 Mhz also, but 1600 Mhz just aint fast enough to calculate the gameplay and net i noticed with many players and action. If hosted on own pc game will probably have more priority than server on CPU + game take 50%+ at least i would guess + more bulshit, just aint made for that. Thats why it also has a "listen" server, (in-game) where you can make a server ingame, for people that dont have a second pc or server, and have a good connection, and want to host a game. (16 if fast connection less if slow ofcs) Topicstarter could you PLEASE post in startpost that you need a correct/recommended UPLOAD speed, of +- AT LEAST 3Mbit (quality home connection) NOT DOWNLOAD speed to host GOOD LAGFREE 16 player dedicated server, crytek recommends 5Mbit for Crysis 1, it will not use all, but its good to have headspace, i would NOT recommend to go 16 players if UPLOAD is BELOW 1/1.5Mbit Upload, pings go up and game will lag, this sucks... test this at http://www.speedtest.net and http://www.pingtest.net, so you can run the amount of players on your server whats best for YOU, and make it more stable for everyone. instead just wanting the number 16. Otherwise rent dedicated server lol then you got 100mbit upload and download x) look at host of serverlist hehe... many more like that. Then you can run 30+ cysis servers IF the Dedicated server machine would be fast enough CPU/RAM ^^ |
