Now that we've got a guide on these, lets make a list of all the people running dedicated servers! I'm currently running one from my home PC but I'm going to try and set one up on a true server with 25/25Mbps speeds soon. Obviously that one will be 32 players! For now my server is only 16 players.

To connect to the dedicated servers above, replace everything in your "system.cfg" file with the following:

Once you have done that, make sure you're on the Multiplayer menu, then open console with the Tilde (~) key and type "connect <ServerAddress>" followed by Enter/Return.

Make system.cfg file with settings that are ONLY need to conect this kind of servers.Remove other lines for graphics and etc.

thanks for the server, seems to be working great except I cant respawn after dying twice. Anyone know how to fix this?

Just wanna point out that bug isn't specific to this server or dedicated servers, happens to me after a while on any server. A solution would definately be appreciated.

It seems like your player becomes considered alive and dead and spectating at the same time, I've tried using the kill command to commit suicide in hopes of forcing a respawn, but without any luck. I don't really expect anyone to be able to fix this bug at this point, but a method to change teams or force a respawn somehow without disconnecting and reconnecting would be useful. Also, when it seems to happen for the most part it skips the killcam on the death where you can't respawn, so perhaps disabling the killcam might fix it.

Can't we host more than 16 players on our PC ? I know this is alot but i want to try i've put more than 16 in the server.cfg but it doesn't work !

Correct, the other lines are for other things, but it's a good configuration file either way. You can edit the obvious graphics settings yourself if you want.

As for the respawn thing, I have no idea what causes it. Sometimes I've been unable to spawn initially on other peoples servers, sometimes I lose the ability to spawn after awhile. Seemed like my server went into a state that wasn't allowing new players to spawn, I restarted it and it's working again.

Edit - I'm going to try the following:
g_debug_spawn_mode = 0
g_dedicatedClientInput_commitSuicide = 1

Let me know if you still have the problem on my server.

Okay I've set "g_deathCam = 0", "g_modevarivar_disableKillCam = 1", "g_modevarivar_disableSpectatorCam = 1", and "kc_enable = 0"...

We'll see if that has any affect.

If not, I'll try and remember to try out "g_tpdeathcam_dbg_gfxTimeout".

Use the "connect" command in the console.

For example: connect 192.168.10.10

This should work, I've tested it remotely AND locally (which is kinda ironic when you think about it, server is on same PC so the PC needs to "dial out" to the DNS, which redirects it to my WAN IP, then back to my router and LAN IP).

Hey guys i know a fix for respawn after dying 2 times. You have to delete whole Crysis 2 savegame folder (users/yourname/saved games/Crysis2) and run DisableAIDevMode.reg (Tools/AI in Crysis 2 beta folder). Have fun!
