Hi everybody! I was just wandering what I'll need when Portal 2 gets released to download it and just play it, I mean what do I need to update? hl2 content? hl2 ep1/ep2 content? Portal 1 content? It's a simple question, hope u can answer me. THANKYOU! <3 |

It'll probably be more like Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, and be it in it's own folder with it's files. |

Thanks so that will be better than the old .gcf method no? I mean you just download a high sized part archive, you extract it and play? That would be perfect! If I ever get my new graphic card changed, I'll buy it but from now, I don't think I could buy it just because I'm not sure if I could be running it when it gets released.~ Thank you for assuming to the party escort submission position. |

I think Valve will release this in NCF format like they did for L4D1/2. Though this is Valve we are talking about. Single player should work fine on day One. Multiplayer, that's another story. |

I'm pretty sure it won't use any existing cache files from other Valve games, it's probably a new engine version. Judging by the CDR it will be NCF, too. How you will be able to launch it depends on several factors, can't say much about that yet I guess. |
