i think the crackonly are the same files from the beta crack minus the .exe has anyone tried running it with smartsteam and the original .exe, not the beta one? |

The retail crack won't have any of the problems which you have with the Prebuild, because the Prebuild may show up as being built this month, but it can be a pretty damn old build. (Same was with the Crysis 2 Beta...rather late build date, but based on damn old code and assets) |

i decided to try again with the beta crack, because last time i launched it i just restarted a savegame from my beta playthrough so this time i started a new ganme and i haven't gotten the difficulty or icon bug yet, it may have been because i used a savegame from the beta that i got it before, i'll play a bit more and make sure. edit: i spoke too soon, it took a lot longer for the bugs to kick in tho, but they did

strange i opened the resversion.txt file in the fear 3 retail install and the fear 3 prebuild leak and this is what i got: Retail: [verinfo] type = "resource" version = "16.00.20.0275" changelist = 119426 builddate = "05/24/2011" buildtime = "17:02:40" Prebuild: [verinfo] type = "resource" version = "16.00.20.0279" changelist = 119454 builddate = "06/06/2011" buildtime = "13:47:51" and the .exe versions are: retail: 16.0.20.975 prebuild: 16.15.20.992 the prebuild seems to be a more recent build, also the prebuild appears to be the entire game, it has all the same files and they are all the same size, except the prebuild is missing what appears to be 2 dlc mp maps, DLC_MP1.dsPack DLC_MP2.dsPack, so its those 2 files and the extra languages that make up the small size difference between the prebuild and the retail. It must be the .exe itself that stops the prebuild after the prison level, i imagine a good cracker could make the prebuild into a playable full version. |
