Still the pre-build is damn bugged...I doubt, that the pre-build is more bug free than the retail.

its the crack thats bugged, i think, not the prebuild, if it was a newer build than the retail theres no way it would be so buggy, bad cracks have been known to do things like that in games they leave triggers active which mess with the game, i'm pretty sure most of the files from the beta crack were just taken from the duke nukem crack, the prebuild is probably a press review copy, there no way they would send a build with a bug like that out to the press. i would be willing to bet that when a working crack comes out for the retail version, it will probably work on the prebuild and when used with the prebuild you'll have access to the whole game, it seems to me that the prebuild is the entire game and that its the .exe that stops you from playing after the prison level.

There is an update for the retail copy...sadly, it still wont launch for me, no matter if I use SmartSteam or not.

i don't think the update is a crack for the game, heres a translation of the instructions for that patch: Installation instructions: 1. Decompression. 2 load ISO image 3 Use (Phoenix) 1.5 beta5 unlock tool to unlock the game http://patch.ali213.net/showpatch/10448.html 4, download unlock new upgrades and STEAM block (80mb) and install http://u.115.com/file/bhaq75iu 5 Wait-free DVD step # 5 Wait-free DVD i think is a bad translation of wait for crack, i think the update is just a patch for the game itself
