The steam connection error seems really fucked up. I dont get the error, and neither do others i talk to that are using. But i have seen 3 ppl say they get that error so far. I'm working with two of them in the channel to try and find the source of the error and why they get it using AHU Proper...and why me and others dont. #hl2-\\n3tb0ng on irc.efnet.net Join up if you wanna help find the source/solution of steam connection error. |

There appears to be an issue with the Steam Connection problem. If you used the CD Key exploit and downloaded ur GCF's and played via My Games list at ANY time before installing AHU Proper you WONT get a Steam connection error it seems. (I guess thats why i dont get it) The APE fix patches the client.dll in some way and it works around that error. There is a 'All Fixes' patch out rite now that includes the fixes from AHU Proper rls, but this can ALSO be applied to AHU Proper release as well. http://www.cutyou.org/Half-Life_2_Fixall_P_1.rar That has the patched client.dll from APE and the fixes from AHU Proper release. (unmodifed hl2\bin data like AHU Proper, EMPORiO uses modified hl2\bin data from css which causes the other errors i believe (AHU Proper only uses 4 dlls whereas EMPORiO proper uses the whole folder from css v5.....i think) |

BOO just poping in seeing what is up. Wow nice to see there are some dedicated supporters of AHU Proper. (wtfmates, fdh, prime, and P_1 nice fix btw)
I'm staying off IRC purposely, but i do have friends on there that know how to get in touch with me. and if anything really stupid...or really important happens. I'll know
And no im not in AHU, but obviously i do know them. And no im not 'real life' buddies of them, but i have been talking to them online for a few months - thats the extend of my affiliation with AHU. I'm staying off IRC purposely 'just in case' cuz while i didnt release the AHU Proper i did help with it and have known links with the creators. Mind you everbody and there grandmother are making releases of HL2 so im not too worried. I *will* return to IRC...im just not sure when
Thats the 'official' word. keep up the good work dudes. and keep my channel alive in my absence. |
