hello

i have emporio proper + this hud fix

everyting works fine

but all my levels are unlocked? Is that normal?

Thnx

I guess it's because you have to delete the saved games cozing the ai problem so they are unlocked and you don't have to play the game from the start(since your saved games were deleted)

WORK AROUND ON NODE REGRAPH OUT OF DATE :D

After looking through different files and after applying this patch, I still got the same A.I Disable and Node graph out of date problem. Since I can't apply AI_NOREgraph 1 without having the NPC freezes at a certain point,. So I got to thinking and came up with a solution. go under your root folder where the game is and under HL2\maps\graphs open up all the ain files, but before you do set the computer clock to a future date like to 2010 and save each one of them without making changes to it , the fastest way is to use Cntrl+S on each file to save, and in the end all the files should show date modified on 2010 instead of the originall date of 11/16/04. Then go back and change the computer clock to current time, apply this patch to fix the HUD error and Noderegraph and AI problem will never happen again. Make sure you don't edit the cfg file with AI Disable 0 or Ai_noregraph 1 or else the NPC will freeze (during the Black mesa lab) I realized that Node regraph probably have something to do with Steam validation on the Emporio full copy, and the exe file might just to validate the graph date and time with steam with a legit copy and that's why it's causing the Node graph and AI problem. If you have the Full Emporio copy(before proper) or any other version that still experience the Noderegraph problem with this patch, give this solution a try, it should work flawlessly without all the problems.

PLmok, i can't log in to your ftp server for upload. ScBlack's trick works! I have changed the graphs folder files to the 2099 date, and seems like the graph problem is gone automagically even with a problematic graph save!

I already rar the files, i hope plmok let's me upload the files to his server so he could include this files as a permanent fix for other ppl's download. A great work around, Sc Black, kudos to you!

Thanks guy, I am glad this fixed the problem, cuz like many people I was getting frustrated at the AI diasble/Nodegraph problem. With the patch and the change of graph file info we can all enjoy Half life 2 the way it's meant to be played. Hopefully someone will incorporate these fixes into a new release or something. Please help me spread the words out on different forum about this fix. :)

Could someone send me the HL2.HUD.FIX-edministrator.rar to typer189@yahoo.com? The link on the first page is not working. Thanks!

First, thank you very much, edministrator! :D :D

But I have noticed that...

...HL2.HUD.FIX-edministrator.rar (4.66 MB) is containing 34 files which expands to 13.2 MB when extracted.

From what I can see, only one, single file is actually needed, this is .\bin\FileSystem_Steam.dll (0.1 MB)
The other 33 files are the same as those in Half-Life_2_READ_NFO-EMPORiO .\bin\ folder.

I wonder, why were those 33 files also included?
Are they non-retail (patched by EMPORiO) and meant for non-EMPORiO releases?

ok. the bin file is rar-ed by PLmok, i sent him the whole original GCF file which was even bigger, 7MB rar, ungf ed = 60+mb!

Yeah, you are right regarding the bin folder, we don't want to take any chances with other releases that might not have the other correct files.

As for the ai_noderebuildgraph error freezing the NPCs, i have also compiled a fix, and will upload to PLmok's server soon. This fix is courtesy of ScBlack's information! He gets all the credit for this graph fix. This time, no worries, the fix is only ~500kb.

OK tested some things, I replaced the whole x:\your half life 2 folder\bin with the original bin folder and files from the AHU release cause AHU didn't have the HUD problem in the first place and i had already replaced the AHU files with the fix from edministrator and because I wanted to test if the time fix would fix the AI and node problem on AHU's original release. Once i did that, i did the time trick from ScBlack on the .AIN files in x:\your half life 2 folder\hl2\maps\graphs The results was that i didn't have the AI and node problems wich i was expecting because i deleted the hud FIXED-by edministrator bin files wich for me fixed the AI and node problem and replaced them with the AHU bin files wich where having that AI and node problem. So the time fix from ScBlack actually works!!! And so i guess the AI and node problem aren't originating from your bin folder but from the .AIN files. But this is also weird cause the fix from edministrator fixed that ai and node problem for me............??? Thanks a lot ScBlack for this fix, it works great.

hud fix is just the original filesystem_steam.dll
you shouldnt overwrite any other files...
