and my skills r so bad thats why i have cs 1.5, cs 1.6, cz, deleted scenes, css, tfc, dmc,opposing force, richochet, sdk, ns, vs,hl, h1:source, and svencoop all working on non-steam and playable on steam servers. And most of it i figured out myself....

shows how much u know about me :wink:

mayhemdred, you are a great help as you have help quite a number of forumers here. Some of your solutions works out great for all of us, especially the tut that you've posted. truely informative.

i'm sorry if some of the forumers in this thread offended you. They are just disliking the way you voice out your opinion. No offense, but sometimes you do reply in harsh words and sarcastic.

I love the positive response from the people here, thanx guys for your support. I am sure all of you here are to help each other, not to pick up a fight, so, everyone just keep your cool & be nice to each other, k?

lol, u think i voice my opinion, lol, u should have been here when aru was administrator, he quit because he got tired of all the noobs and assholes.....u have 2 admit though, there r alot of lazy people out there that just want everything handed to them :wink: :D

Most problems arise out of stupidity and or laziness around here..

And myself,
check anyone of the posts i've made around here
and you'll see NO stupid questions !

the fix mentioned is good enough for the time beeing..

:wink: i will buy the game eventually, until then i will use temp fixs to play, ive already beaten it 3 times, and didnt complain about the little bugs, but hey, maybe somebody can fix it, that would be sweet and ill give all the props in the world to them for that :D the most annoying thing is the sound stutter, but oh well, if i paid for it and it did that, then i would complain more :)

oh well, i dont really care what people think about me, i know i have helped many people, and thats all that matters, like i said i dont get paid for this, i do it because im bored and dont mind helping.....i like to share the wealth so to speak....people like that r the main reason why aru, a good friend of mine, quit the forums.

yes i know im not a programmer, but i have learned alot about computers on my own, from people, and from this forums....so far i havent been able to not fix anything that has happened on my pc, which i built, and most stuff i use works, including cracked games, free programs, w/e...... usually i try not to talk out of my ass, but sometimes i say wrong things, im not perfect...but i learn from each mistake and move on....
It just pisses me off how people bitch on the forums and are like gimme gimme gimme and this dont work and that dont work.....most things r simple enough to figure out on your own or more than likely it has been covered several times on this forum. people just get lazy and selfish...but if there is a legitamate problem...then i want to hear about it and know the final fix :wink: thats why i go to ever topic posted and why i reply alot, because i learn from it......honestly how many questions do i ask for help?not much because im pretty well informed...this forum does rock :wink:

lol...im rambling on, so ill stop, but thanks for having my back :wink: but i think one thing that would help people is what we have been doing, make the main topic have all the details on it and update it as necessary so people dont have to read through 100 pages of bs, like my post right now, to get to the answer....clarence, me, and a few people do this already, it makes it more simple....

i ran into the AI/Node graph probs on HL1 Source when
i built it up from GCF's..
what was weird is when i renamed the steam.dll
(in root w/ steamengine.exe)
the error appeared, then when i allowed the steam engine
to connect to steam-servers the errors/messages disapeared !

Note: oh and i don't get these errors on HL2 or CSS
just on HL1 source, but i bet the fix/solution
would be the same for either game ?

so i tried something using a .bat file that was in
the half-life 1 source gcf, and that didnt help at all
but i will mention it, incase it gives someone some ideas
or you can improve my idea etc.. so here goes !

K so i took the file "reslists.bat" and ran it
this opened a window for the purpose of making
a new set of reslists for all the maps,
that worked ok but didnt fix my prob
but the Commands added to a .cfg file work
so i can play alright..

What i found to make it work was use edminastrators fix, and the fix someone posted a while ago and u launch the game using their 'start.exe', before playing set the date to 2002.

It runs fine, fixed alot of ai bugs, like no more then 4 people would follow me at a time, and the wrong people followed me.

If 'ai disabled' comes up typeing 'ai_disable 1' in the console now fixes it (it didnt before)

i intend on figuring out WHY this happening
although i am more than aware that there is plenty of
so called fixes but someone oughtta try
and get this crap fixed properly, not by modifying the game
or using some kinda of loader or screwing with the system time..

It's also funny seeing all the sites with HL2 fixes
everytime i see the same 2 or 3 fixes it has another
persons name or "Cracking Group" attached to it :roll:
