Everything is working for me, the 17/1 update using steamenu 2.63 with the client.dll replacement.
Only the hit damage indicator in Hl2 sp doesn't show like before. sad.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Did you try running the hl2installers from steamenu 2.63, and replacing the client.dll uploaded by CMEPTb? |

i have tried to run hl2/css with latest update (2004-01-17) using SteamEmu 2.63 i have newest updated gcf's (downloaded using ati key), now it is nesessary to run gcf's via SteamEmu - i want to share game with friends, who doesn't have internet connection, lan only before this update all worked: hl2, hl2dm, css - with language=russian , *_russian .gcf's and corrected steamemu.ini with added GCF01=*_russian.gcf lines after this update: - if lang=russian, hl2 raises an AV error at the first episode, when Barni removes his helmet... - if lang=english, hl2 works fine css and hl2dm work without errors in any language, bots are great %) will u please fix SteamEmu in order to get hl2 working with localized gcf's |

Localization Info hCUPa gave me great information on how to do this. hCUPa is my IDOL!!!!! If you don’t have the gcfs for the language you need, in (ppatched) Steam go to settings, language, and choose English (This is assuming that your current language in steam is NOT English). Click ok, but don’t restart. Exit steam, wait 30 seconds (this is a ppatcher thing), and run steam again. Choose your language this time, Russian, German, French, whatever. Exit steam, wait 30 seconds, and run steam again. Start Half-Life 2 and it will download your localization gcfs. Go to the folder of your game. It should be in C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\User\ Find the game in which you want the language to be changed in your steamemu.ini. Using half-life 2 as an example, [HL2.EXE_HL2] Name=Half-Life 2 Directory=half-life 2 GCF01=source engine.gcf GCF02=source models.gcf GCF03=source materials.gcf GCF04=source sounds.gcf GCF05=half-life 2 content.gcf Change GCF02 to GCF03, GCF03 to GCF04, and so on, but NOT your GCF01 to GCF02. Now make a new entry GCF02 on the line above your new GCF03 line. For example: [HL2.EXE_HL2] Name=Half-Life 2 Directory=half-life 2 GCF01=source engine.gcf GCF02=half-life 2_japanese.gcf (btw I’m not Japanese) GCF03=source models.gcf GCF04=source materials.gcf GCF05=source sounds.gcf GCF06=half-life 2 content.gcf You also need to apply a registry .reg file to change your language. However, if you got the gcf files using the method above, you *probably* don’t have to do this. Language .reg files are attached. My reg files include support for English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Italian, Thai, Portuguese, Korean (teen), Korean (adult), Chinese (simplified), and Chinese (traditional). (All the steam languages I think) |

followes instructions given by plastun, error still occurs thas is last message in profiler immediatly after the error: Second chance exception 0xC0000005 (Access Violation) occurred in "STEAM.DLL" at address 0x2000EBAA have any one tried to run hl2 from localized gcf's with emu 2.63 after the last update? i used emu 2.63, also i tried to replace client.dll in hl2install folder from gcf's, and of course localized gcf's was added as GCF02 after GCF01=source engine.gcf p.s. localized css and hl2mp works fine |

ok can someone using this version try making a server for cs source and tell me if they can do it with no prob. I have tried re-installing about 20 times now and still I keep getting this error. Playing Online works fine but when I want to create a server it never fully loads and keeps giving me this error.Someone please help as I have people that are dependant of my server and I cant seem to get it working. SteamGetEncryptedUserIDTicket failed (1) reason-- SteamGetEncryptedUserIDTicket() failed with error 1: Unknown internal error occurred - AS command error ^^ thats the error I keep getting in the console. I have the same error and i notice that it occurred when you try to create a server with steamonline string, in your steamemu.ini,set to 1. If set to 0 it works perfectly. I dunno why 
Someone knows if there's a way to fix it?? |

Thanks alot linuss,if you set it to 0 it does work fine. I just hope that d4rkm4nx is aware of this and that it can be fixed somehow. |

 Steam was updated silently... Indeed, impossible of this connected to play on line... Whether it is with the emulator hCUPa or PPATCHER shut your homo ass up,alot of people can still play online,this is like the 3rd post u made saying the same crap. |
