 replace the server and client.dll from from monkeyspank or yearofdeath (change nick?) it would work back. Anyone knows what does this emu 2.65 fixes? But quite useless since Valve gonna upgrade stuff soon. |

For people who have problem with the new hCUPa emu(blurry background ecc), i've found that there is an error with the file clients.dll in the hl2installer folder. You can fix it in 2 ways: 1)you can extract it from half-life 2 content.gcf using gcfscape and replace the old one in the hl2installer folder 2)you can download it at the bottom of the post and replace the old one in the hl2installer then just run the installer and now the games works fine.

I copied the file from my ppatcher install of hl2. Why doesnt the hl2 installer get this file from the gcf like the other installers do? |

Just put the new steam.dll in the old installers and it will. err no, the hl2 installer gets the client dll from the installer folder, an old file, when it should just extract it from the gcf like the css and hl2dm installers do. the steam dll has nothing to do with it. |

I know.. the old installers get if from the GCF.. so just put the new steam.dll in the old installers, and it will. |

This is the error I get in the console whenever I try to make a server with bots. The game would start loading after I click to launch the server but then it will just stop loading and go back to the main menu. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can fix this as I cant create a server with bots regardless as to what settings I choose. SteamGetEncryptedUserIDTicket failed (1) reason-- SteamGetEncryptedUserIDTicket() failed with error 1: Unknown internal error occurred - AS command error Update: I get this error whenever trying to make a server period.Doesnt just pertain to bots,I get this error regardless as to wether or not bots are enabled.Could there be something wrong with the server.dll ??? |
