if you search, u would see 10 topic about this...and it get annoying after every update that 20 different people at least post the same thing....it really gets annoying seeing and answering the same thing over and over and over again

Hi DRED CLARENCE and all the guys ,,, this Might sound kinda stupid ,, but you are the specialists and i hope you will answer me and be patient with me in here ,,, 2 days ago when i couldnt start the game and i had that Error which its says ( Temp Your version dose not match the server ) i didnt had Ppatcher or steam down , but today i got them both the Ppatcher i didnt know how to do it , all what i did that i copied the patch and replace it in CS folder and nothing happened . and just now i got the Steam-down and i install it and and try to play but i got the smae Error ,,,, so again i was SEARCHING and i find this by (hCUPa ) its SteamLauncher i put it in Steam and i lanched it from there and still the same Error ,,, My quastion is How the HELL some people able to play still , when im doing all this stuff and nothing happened ,,, i have STEAM-DOWN by H3llboss ,,, and STEAM LANCHER by hCUPa and ppatcher (1[1].6.2005 - fixed exe and ppc)rar and now i will download six-steam iswear im trying here and soo hard and its seems like nothing or i dont get it ,,, another quastion , because i dont to be a bug and keep poping up every now and then asking stuff ,,,, i have CSS 1.8.1 dose that mean i have CSS 1.6 with Update 8 or what ,,, and about the update ,,, how to do It ,,, and you guys can you play CSS stll ???? remember Guys be patinet please with me , thanx |

just use ppatcher, put ppatcher,exe and ppatcher.ppc into steam folder(where steam.exe is). then run ppatcher.exe and it will start steam...then right click on whatever games u want, and click install...then rick click on the games icons u have selected to install, and click properties, and change where it says do not allow automatic updates to...allow automatic updates.....then on that same properties screen...where it says % acquired...when that % reaches 100% and says ready, u can play that game... now each time u want to start steam, start it with ppatcher, and the games will be in your list, and just double click on the game to play it |

yes...and depends on your connection and how busy steam is....if u set it to allow auto updates...shut steam down..run the ppatcher exe again and see if it starts, if it doesnt install and run source dedicated server from the list, then it should start |

ohh i didnt started the Paptcher but a Msg poped Up and sayds Play now and Create SDhort Cut so i create short Cut and then now im trying to play the game and its says Updating Half life 2 Preparing to Play HL2 |

ok..it will take awhile because u r on dial-up and especially because there is alot of traffic on the steam network right now because of the update
