Thank you very much of your hard work, I thought you abandoned the AOEO since it required enumerating online servers, but you didn't. It's sad to see you go, thank you for everything you've done in here, hopefully you'll find whatever you're looking for on your new life.

Let's get a little perspective here, it's not like catspaw was in his/her deathbed and has returned to life. Or had an epiphany or something. :)
He's simply stopping maintaining a piece of software, it's not like s/he was reborn anew.

I do appreciate the work you've done, though.

Thank you catspaw for your hard work and for trying to bypass the S8P server for me. I think everyone here can't thank you enough. Good luck with your future project(s) ::)

I noticed in Fable III the window that allows you to rename your dog appears in the background and requires you to minimize your game. Why not just force that window into the foreground? Then it would either overlay or minimize the game, but at least not appear in the background.
Also it would be a nice idea to automatically maximize the game once the "rename" window is closed.

Also, twice while playing Fable III I had an issue where the picture would completely freeze but the mouse pointer would still move. But when I would Alt+Tab out of the game and then maximize it again, there would be standard pause menu on screen, and I am able to continue playing. Definitely doesn't look like hardware/driver issue, considering the game works just fine after you maximize it. It feels more like a pause than an actual freeze, but the game does not accept any commands while this happens.
Happened only twice in a whole playthrough for me, and both times I had a couple of such "freezes" in a row. No idea if emulator is at fault or something else.

All that said in case someone is gonna take over catspaw's work with this emulator. And yes, this is an amazing project, I am very grateful to catspaw, and wish him all the best.

Missing ones

Sorry for bringing up an old topic, but can someone re-upload the missing files from prudislav's Minerva's Den files? I have the retail version of BS2, and I sure don't want to download the Steam version just to play the DLC. The zippyshare link has expired, apparently. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

@aclair
Many thanks for posting the files, aclair!

Edit: Though I'm having trouble as to how to get it to work. Where should I put the missing files? I tried every combination, but still it didn't do anything. I couldn't start the DLC from the Extras menu; it's not even listed there. Am I doing something wrong?

My game folder structure would be "BioShock 2\SP\Builds\Binaries\DLC\DLC1" (Only Minerva's Den installed).
I'm using xlive.dll by virusek.

Is anything missing?

This was all discussed in detail in old posts.
Try searching "english forums"for bioshock 2 ,if it's not in this thread.

==========================
this the old info i had in a text file:
-Install BioShock 2 and update it to v1.5
-Copy the content of the 'Minerva's Den DLC' to the install dir.
There are 2 small files you have to overwrite. 1 Movie and 1 audio file. I don't think this will cause problem in the original game but I included them in the backup dir just in case.
-Open 'User.ini' with text editor. Win7 Path: 'c:/Users/"USER NAME"/AppData/Roaming/Bioshock2'
-In the [Default] category find a blank key and add:
Open Minerva_A.bsm
So if you choose for example key M Then the line will be:
M=Open Minerva_A.bsm
-Start the game.
In the main menu keys are not recognized so start a new game or load any save then press The selected key- M in this example.
================================
you should read the other threads here ,coz there might be a better way to do it.
i can't remember now.
I ended up just downloading "BioShock 2 + DLC Eng RiP - Lyxer_Loader" which was 3.16gb from mediafire-gamer.

This is old, not proper way to install DLC.

@Schlafwandler
You need catspaw modified xlive.dll link.

Post subject:  Re: XLive (aka GFWL) emulator

Can anyone point me to the original GFWL Section 8: Prejudice savegame location? I love the fact catspaws xlive.dll gives me easy access to my saves and DLC, but as you know, the LAN Multiplayer doesn't work with xlive.dll. So, as I'm forced to use the shitty GFWL I'd like to copy my xlive.dll Section 8 savegames to the GFWL Section 8 savegame folder. (Even if this isn't possible, I'd still like to know the location of the folder.)

EDIT:

Ok, found it:

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\Content\E0000340AC249EA2\FFFE07D1\00010000\E0000340AC249EA2_MountPt\544707D4.gpd

The italic parts of the filepath may be different for you. The name of the .gpd however, is always the same.
