Hey I installed the game using Phoenix and the SKIDROW crk. I then tried editing the .dll switching skidrow to my newly created steamacc. However I did not recieve an error during startup nor could I click the "Internet" button. After deleting the .dll however it worked perfectly and I had a match with a colleague. However we ran into the little problem of the Save-Button not existing... Are we just to stupid to find it or can't you save in MP?! |

So no option in ESC-Menu but Ctrl+S works!? I mean ok, it works in editors but in a game?! Have to admit didn't try that one... tried F5 F9 F11 etc but hej... will give it a shot in our next match. EDIT: Hope you didn't get me wrong, I did mean the ingame save, not saving the .dll |

In multiplayer it creates a autosave every turn so need to manually save. |

Would like to note that using this method also made it possible to me to download and install mods from the Mod Hub |

1 ) I install the game. 2 ) I install the original crack 3 ) I install the provided patch 4 ) I install the provided crack 5 ) I delete the SteamClient.dll 6 ) I change steam_apidd to 33310 7 ) I change my Download Region to UK - London 8 ) I run steam in the background 9 ) I start the game Result: The game starts fine when I launch it, but multiplayer is still blanked out. What am I doing wrong? -EDIT- Right, the last step should have been: 9 ) Restart Steam 10 ) Play game All is well with the world now |

Restart steam / cpu if doesnt help. Make sure firewall is off and ports on router are forwarded. |

I have done exactly as directed in this thread and I have the following problems: 1. Ask me to download Civilization 5. I have tried all manners of appids in the .txt and tried using a multitude of different steam emulators. 2. When I just rename myself by editing steamclient.dll I end up with just my computer name and lang games are invisible to everyone, If I edit the name in skindrow.ini then my name changes however they get stuck on retrieving host information. I have tried reinstall the game, steam, and editing every file listed however nothing seems to fix either of these problems. |

Did u read first post? u dont need to edit steamclient.dll or skidrow.ini -game will use nick which u set in Steam: Friends/Change Nick U dont need any steam emulators either, just regular steam. Skidrow.ini is for people which are not using Steam. |
