The update itself (Build 841) is not really cracked. As far as I deduced, it just contains the new updated files minus the EXE files because these contain the WMD login stuff again which so far hasn't been bypassed. The only problem is that there might be some compatibility issues with new files regarding the old Build 834-EXE files. Some new files could contain some references to new functions in the EXE files etc. That's why the McLaren P1 didn't work and that's why some other cars, tracks etc. could be affected as well. We can just search for workarounds to make the game run with old EXE files and new content files as long as the WMD login system is not bypassed. I think it'd be just easier to play what we have and wait for the full release in March 2015 or hope that the devs will remove the WMD login later for some builds. |

Could this also be perhaps why when I run 841, it doesn't load after clicking 'drive' on Free Practice or Quick Race (ex. kart in Chester, or Mclaren in Hockenheim), but works fine in 834? While at it, my 834 set came with 3DMGAME.ini, etc, while 841 came with ALI.ini and Origin.ini, etc. Will there be issues mixing these (i.e. do I just overwriting 3DMGAME install with the ALI install and ORIGIN.ini)? Thanks. |

Thanks. It's actually the other way round. Build 834 comes with ALI213 files (at least it came with that for me) and the Build 841 "patch" came with the 3DMGAME stuff. As I mentioned earlier in one of my posts, you can just delete the ALI213 files and keep the 3DMGAME files. Just keep in mind that those certain INI files only work with appropriate DLL (e.g. "steam_api.dll" etc.) files. But do keep the "Origins.ini" at all times. Those INI files are not really that important as all of your options and save progress are saved in your "My Documents" directory but they are responsible for the game to launch. In general I'd say that if that Build 841 "patch" comes with 3DMGAME files, keep the 3DMGAME stuff and delete the ALI213 files. I hope I didn't explain it too complicated. So all in all as I said: You might encounter compatibility issues with the Build 841 "patch" thrown over Build 834. If you want to be on the safe side, just stick with Build 834. I'm using the Build 841 files with Build 834 and so far only faced one problem with the P1 making the game crash as that car was updated with the Build 841 "patch" (as described earlier, I had to return the old file of the car from Build 834 for the car to work). I'll post here if I find more issues. You could also post your not working combinations here and I'll check them out in my game (e.g. X car not working on Y track etc.). But please give exact names of the cars and tracks as there are many variations of them. |

My 831, and 831-834 patch set all had 3DMGAME, while only the 834-841 had both 3DGAME and Origins.ini. Why the addition of the Origin.ini? And since the 831-834 didn't have the Origins.ini, am I correct in having to edit Origins.ini and changing the username to "3DMGAME"? And is it advisable to add "-dx11" to the Cmd= line? I'll check the car/track combinations in my 834-841 set, and post here. FWIW, with the 834-841 set, I sometimes have the loading screen take so long/hang. Thanks again. -- Update 1 -- @theac3player, update on initial testing of b834-841 set: Unhandled exception trapped… Build SMSARI.20141021.0834.BLDM000 Mclaren P1 on the ff. tracks so far: Oschersleben, Azure, Hockenheim GP, and Brands Hatch GP so far. Tried to check other cars with the same date info as the Mclaren P1 (11/04/2014 for the main .bff and 10/19/2014 for the other .bff files), like the Mercedes Evo 2 DTM, but the latter worked. Didn't find other files with similar dates. -- Update 1 -- Like @theac3player suggested earlier, copying McLaren_P1.bff from the b834 set into the b841 set corrects the issue. PS. Where can I see information on which tracks are normally used for karting only? |

I assume that the "Origins.ini" file came with the Build 841 "patch" as this patch was Rustorka-exclusive meaning it was only available on that Russian torrent tracker. So possibly this guy who created the torrent modified something else to add a reference to that new INI file maybe using different "steam_api.dll" files. But he still used the 3DMGAME crack as the base. Probably he added this to integrate his language selector. Don't think you have to change the username to that, you can just enter one you want. sherp wrote: And is it advisable to add "-dx11" to the Cmd= line? I did add this to the command line just to be sure you're running in DX11 mode. I also mentioned that before. sherp wrote: PS. Where can I see information on which tracks are normally used for karting only? Can't tell you that but I'd think that mostly small, narrow tracks would be used for kart racing. Would seem logical to me. So in general, we only had the P1 problem so far in terms of not working cars but managed to create a workaround to make it working again (BTW, the new P1 BFF file won't let the car work anywhere). Let's look further, other than that it's working pretty well. Just the old EXE files don't contain the possible improvements from Build 841. |

I learned that I had to, so as to keep using the original 3DMGAME profile, as it created a new one named rustorka, if not changed. theac3player wrote: Can't tell you that but I'd think that mostly small, narrow tracks would be used for kart racing. Would seem logical to me. Yeah, that's the best assumption I have too. But there doesn't seem to be an easy way to tell with the way the tracks are organized/shown under the pcars location tab. OTOH, I guess I just have to get familiarized w/ them, as even AC or GSCE don't segregate them to easily identify. theac3player wrote: So in general, we only had the P1 problem so far in terms of not working cars but managed to create a workaround to make it working again (BTW, the new P1 BFF file won't let the car work anywhere). But maybe (hopefully, and fortunately), a new patch/build will be released by then. |

RacerJohn wrote: List of tracks ...trimmed... Thanks much, @RacerJohn. This is just what I was looking for. May I ask where you got this, as I don't see it this organized in the PCars (http://www.projectcarsgame.com/locations.html) site. Also, though might be farstretched, is there something similar for the cars, since a lot of the cars don't have images yet in-game. Though one can try the cars by driving, it takes some time, w/ the numerous vehicles. Thanks. |
