You need to register in order to play. The existing crack doesn't work because your items disappear.
Don't know if GOG version is any different.

EDIT: Take that back, no registration needed.

btw: whats the difference between old one, Gog and steam versions?? any improvements in steam one?

Well is this MP compatible? And if so how can I play with a friend, preferably in a LAN. I heard MP is quite buggy, so wanna test this first, if its really bad purchasing the game isnt an option.

I've been playing it for the last 4 hours or so with a friend. So far we've only encountered one single bug where we had to re-assign weapons after we restarted the game. It's done in 5 seconds though, so it wasn't really an issue.

However, you kinda need to play with two friends or you'll have a LOT of farming to do for the second boss. It's really hard. The MP is made for three players, not one or two. But it's possible. Just really hard without spells and stuff (which is why you need to farm the second dungeon until you get to level 4 and find some usable spells).
