i usually always add all DLC appID's listed on steamdb to my .ini's so i dont need to keep editing the .ini when more DLC is released and doing this has never caused a problem.. so i am not sure why adding all 100 appID's for this game would cause the DLC to not unlock... but there are firsts for everything!

can anyone confirm that the DLC unlocks with the 100 appID's entered???

Same here. Cherub Rock appears when using a small list of DLC, but not with the 100 entries one.


Is there any way to get the Rocksmith 1 songs yet? Either the on-disc ones or the dlcs?

this is definately a first!
i removed that attachment with the full list of appID's, so as DLC is released, you guys will just need to add the DLC appID's manually, no big deal i guess... anyway, i am done here.. enjoy the game!

Hmm like alex said, when the game unlocks for me I should be able to play the old dlc right?

BUT I use a proxy atm (so i can play early) the game is unlocked for me this way.. however.. I still can't play the old dlc?

I wonder if it'll be different friday.. (seeing as no real change would happen)

also do people still need the rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc file? I have it..

1. there is some issue with old DLCs, there will be RS 2014 update to fix it
2. there should be songs from RS1 when you buy "Rocksmith 2014 Disc Import Tool" on Steam
3. rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc is PC version and it was included in the first torrent, rs1compatibilitydlc_m.psarc would be Mac version of the same file

People on PS3 got their DLCs transferred immediately, so I guess on Friday when it unlocks for you properly, you'll be getting all your DLCs again. It's going to be a strong upload session :P

Anyone from the US who has Rocksmith 1 and has DLCs and is willing to share ? Also, it seems someone will probably have to bite hard and get the unlock pack. I'd do it, but I don't own Rocksmith 1 (yet).

You don't need unlock for regular DLCs, only for RS1 on-disc songs (5 songs will not export: Cream, Eric Clapton, 2x Seth Chapla, Chris Lee).

I bought it on Steam yesterday and played for a bit. Then checked out the files it uses and came upon rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc in C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Rocksmith2014\dlc

The RS1 DLCs transfer over without having to pay any additional fee, true, but they are different (updated) files. So he's asking for someone who has done the transfer procedure to provide the relevant psarc files. I'd like to get access to those too.

As for the on-disc, is there any way to get it activated? We already have the relevant psarc file in that case.

As I have already said, there is an issue for all RS 2014 users and there will be update to fix it. I believe that all files needed to access old DLCs are already present in the game files and in the rs1compatibility DLC file and they will just work if you add original DLC IDs to INI file. But you will need to have fixed RS 2014 first.

Ah, sorry, yes, I was confused, the psarc we already have, "rs1compatibilitydlc", is for the DLC. The filesize is only 30MB though, so it can't be all the RS1 DLC.

Ignoring the current issues with Rocksmith 2014 not recognising DLC (on Steam versions), what files do we currently have then? Are the RS1 on-disc tracks sitting around somewhere, and what about the DLC (which doesn't all fit in the aforementioned 30MB)?

Yes, that's why I think they are included in the songs.psarc file, that one is big enough to contain both RS2014 songs and DLCs including separate versions for PC and Mac. Maybe even RS1 songs, but that's pushing the limit, they may be provided in separate file when you buy the export.

Hmm. Might it not be the case that the RS1 DLC is in songs.psarc, but the RS1 on-disc is "rs1compatibilitydlc"? There the "dlc" means that it is a DLC for Rocksmith 2014, not RS1 DLC.

I guess there's not much point in speculating though!
