EDIT: I RESTARTED THE PC AFTER FOLLOWING THOSE INSTRUCIONS, AND IT WORKS NOW. Or at least I can get to the menu screen. I suppose that's a "feature" of the mod. So this method seems to work. Thanks. Hello, Been struggling with this for three days now. Already tried several releases with no luck yet. Here's what I have now: Latest PROPHET RELEASE (XCOM: Enemy Unknown - The Complete Edition) 1. I install the game (E:/Games/XCOM - Enemy Unknown), with the DirectX and Visual C++ x86 Redist. I don't apply the prophet crack that comes with the release. 2. I copy the content of XEW.Update.v1.0.0.9040.7z to the correct XEW folder (downloaded from the first post of this thread). 3. I copy the content of XEW.Update.v1.0.0.9040.Cr4ck.Only.rar to the correct XEW folder (downloaded from the first post of this thread). (If I fire the game now with XEW/Binaries/Win32/XOMLauncher.exe, it works fine) 4: I install the Long War Mod (Long War 3 Beta 14i-88-3-0b14i.exe) into the correct XEW folder. (If I fire the game now it crashes with error "XCOM: Enemy Within has stopped working") Tried with different cracks and steam dlls (prophet, ali, reloaded, z10yded...), and also several Long War older versions, but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated! THANKS. |

all i can say is, i read that its normal that the game crashes. just try to start again and it should work. maybe this helps you. btw, do you even need the update when you have the new prophet version? because i downloaded that version and crack, but just stored on external hd, cant install at the moment, not that i will be missing the update later. |

No you don't need the update if you have the new prophet release, just grab the crack if you want to install the long war mod. |

I installed the game aplied update and patch but now the game wont start at all theres not even a process in task manager i i tried unistalling the patch and verified with svf but nothing changed :/ |

(first extract the rar in some folder, then copy all the content where I have told u above) Then it should start the game and it should also load the missions without an issue. Can someone explain what's the deal with CPU-specific cracks? Did PROPHET crack the game wrongly? I plan to download and play the game, so I'd want some information on possible problems. Thanks in advance. |

dont scare me.. i think its just when you want to mod the game, that you need an additional crack, but otherwise PROPHET should be fine as is. |
