They can all be bought later on from an npc and they are useless anyway.

As I now the update for the DX9 versions to Scholar of the first Sin was Patch 1.10. This adds nearly everything from Scholar of the first Sin to the old versions, except the new enemy/loot placements and DX11 graphics/performance. That's sad for people with no DX11 GPU, because the enemy placement should be implemented in this patch too, because it makes the game feel so fresh now.

If you mean future patches for Dark Souls 2, they said nothing, but I think this chapter is closed now. They will focus on new games from now. Maybe one Patch for Scholar of the first sin, if there are gamebreaking bugs, but I didn't find any bugs. The DX9 version is finished and you shouldn't expect patches for this version.

I hope this answeres your question.

I tired both the codex release and the fitgirl repack of the DX11 version, and neither one allows me to change the resolution or window to fullscreen. It just stays at 720p windowed, even though it goes through the whole "you've changed the settings, do you want to revert back" routine. Anyone else have this?

Looks like they will be still updating the DirectX 9 version. With calibrations at least.

Nope, that problem is at your side only. I can change all graphic settings without any problem (resolution, quality, etc..) and they do apply fine.

NOTE: (Both CODEX and FitGirl repack are identical on your hard drive once installed)

You're welcome! I knew from this update. This just adds the balancing changes from scholar of the first sin. Patch 1.10 and calibrations update 1.15 are on the level of scholar of the first sin v 1.01 (calibration 2.01). I thought you mean patching out bugs or improving performance or stuff like that. I hope they will fix the 60fps bug, which made weapons break 50%faster, than with 30fps. This is very annoying, because i always have to change my wepon in a heavy fight.

eur0pa made some noise that he'll maybe be making a tool in the near future that will fix the durability stuff, for both versions probably.

so calibration is not crucial regarding gameplay?

Calibrations are basically gameplay improvements since they nerf/boost certain weapons and armour. Also they sometimes come along with bug fixes like the previous calibration patch (1.14) which fixed an essential bug.
