Two major trackers define the CODEX release as the DX9 version, apparently because it's somewhat smaller than the requirements for the DX11 version. I'm not sure to be honest, so I'll rather wait for clarification or a new release that's specifically marked as DX11.

Edit 2: downloaded the game, installed, dont see any DirectX version selection Do you maybe have MSI Afterburner or a similar program? It should show which DirectX version is running while ingame. As I understand it, there's "Scholar of the First Sin DX9" version which is the old DS2 rebranded with all of the DLCs, updates and is compatible with the old saved games, and there's "Scholar of the First Sin DX11" version that's using the updated renderer, has different enemy placements, more online players limit and is not compatible with the old saves. Both versions are standalone so they shouldn't have a choice between DX9 and DX11 in the files anyway. EDIT: Btw, how big is it installed?

I think there are some changes in Things Betwixt (the intro area) like petrified enemies blocking some of the paths and two big cyclops enemies at the beach with the gender changing coffin, so if that's there, it's an even bigger confirmation that it has all of those changes.

Is there a patch (xdelta or other) to upgrade the current DS2 to new version? Or the only way is to redownload the whole game (with all DLCs) again?
