Maybe, i really wanted more interaction, i mean eveything you can interact are just a few things and they all light up green a,d you can build stuff, maybe spoiler. i mean i really wanted that this WAS the game that can make me shit my pants of and have so much stuff to do but all in all its very weak, you can do more stuff in mario bross then in this game, only thing i find is good that the ships and all look really close to the first movies, that is just nostalgie and thats a real threat but hey its a alien game like if that dosn't match up this game is flawed on everything, i was expecting more. Okay, you need to use your brains more the in any other game out there but its very limited, sneaking and accesing or enabling some stuf but most of the time is just looking around trying to get a door/hatch to open and walking around in search for that 1 button/switch that needed to be pressed, Maybe in the future we will get a good alien game since the game is being held back by previous generations, graphics and interactions. to bad, still i am gonna download the pc version and see how it looks because the Atmoshpere is there but the previous gen is struggling. got a open room and it really looks like its running 20fps and when i look back or up/down it feels like 60fps, i just wanted that they waited a bit longer and released it only on the current gen so they can add a lot more stuff in it, to bad, Borderlands pre-sequel Here i Come

-- Edit --

now ive seen some gameplay on pc like the one above and the graphics are pretty dark and sweet, but the previous gen ps3/xbox360 is REALLY BAD, like i saib above still gona download the pc version and whait until its released since the ps3 version is making me wanna puke, its that bad so i am just gonna delete the ps3 version and whait for the pc version, to bad you can't see what i was seeing on terms of graphics and lags on the ps3 version is really pathetic.
if the devs had played some dead space they and silence hill or some of those horror game this would have been so mush better.
Sory for the bad language since i ma dutch. Hoping for the next alien or maybe Prometheus game

Why port just the sound and not the detector itself? Or better said, why port it when the new one is perfect for this ambient?

You do know there are 2 detector generations during the course of the alien franchise and that this green one is a newly created third one right?
If you take a bit of time to inspect this game, you will realize this is some real exotic shit they've done here.
They actually went so far as to build in detail a new fucking motion tracker that's more evolved than the one from first movie and less evolved than the one from the second movie.

The thing that Creative Assembly has done with this Alien game, is they dared to do what nobody has done before in this franchise since James Cameron.
They started from the base of everything that is original and intact from the first Alien movie and then started to stack new things on top of it to expand the universe, while attempting to ignore Aliens and Alien 3 elements as much as possible.
They had the balls to innovate and create new canon material for the series!

It's interesting how they did this though, because many would expect that the much more popular M314 Motion Tracker and the Armor Integrated HUD Motion Tracker versions that later appeared in the Aliens movie and were popularized further in the avp games could have given a much better scare factor into this horror oriented game.
The idea however is that the M314 brings with it a series of sounds that remind people of the Aliens ambient instead of the Alien ambient, which ruins a lot of what made the first movie unique.

As a bit of history of these detectors one should know there's the one in the first Alien movie that's the most basic of them all and doesn't really do as good of a job to stress it's users or the audience of the movie as the second one from the Aliens movie does.
The second detector model has also been popularized and was put to very good use in the alien vs predator 1 and 2 games.

What could have posed another problem in deciding to have the M314 Motion Tracker for Ripley's skinny daughter might have to do with the actual ginormous size of the thing.
To constantly hold the M314 motion tracker in one hand and also run with it, you totally have to be a fit guy and not a skinny girl.
I mean look at the fucking thing, it's huge as shit

Now the there are 3 models in total.

^interesting stuff. i can see youre a massive aliens fan lmao but i just want someone to mod the motion tracker sounds for nostalgia purposes. nothing more. would be sweet hearing the same sounds as the aliens movies in my mind even though it isnt logical but then again its a game so :8=)

damn i think im gonna pirate the movie and watch it for the third time...

also if you could answer this i would appreciate it.. how the heck did this site become the holy grail for pirating steam games lol? i mean isnt it just meant to be a russian counter strike clan site?

I don't see this site as a pirate board, or a warez site. It's where we hang out, and discuss games.

(played the ps3 version and waow, this sucks major balls in graphics and gameplay, even for a true alien fan like me this really sucks balls.
yes, there are a few scares but the amount of frustating to search and hide is just pathetic, interaction with consoles and machines and stuff is very low, the only thing is reading terminals about other ppl and walking hours to find where you have to go. SUCKS BALLS
just my opinion, a real downer )

Don't lsten to the ramblings of ths TOOL.......

Yes in EU prices are similar. In US it is cheaper, but problems is with import taxes. It is easy. For price little more than new PS4, you will PC, that should run games like on PS4 (30 FPS mostly and, 720p - 1080p). If they do not mess port.
Look at some benchmarks and you will see. if you want more you will to have pay more :) That price range is OK. With 1500 EUR you should be able to play on 1440p. So, it is depends on your monitor. Best GPU are made for bigger resolution than 1080p. Also that GPU cost like new console

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/system-build-pc-value,3946.html Here is some info. What you will get about that price. But it is in USD, in EU it will be litte more different.
The best GPU's aren't only made for higher resolutions. They are great for 144Hz monitors too. Like my BenQ Xl2411Z.
