The game is on a completely new engine with last light gameplay. It has completely new lightning system, a lot more details in environments, better animations, new areas which weren't in original 2033. I actually find atmosphere a lot better in redux. Feel free to checkout my album to see how horrible (/sarcasm) this game looks : http://imgur.com/a/sG2GG#0First few scene from the surface don't even have bloom effect there anywhere, how can it be overdone? Also : bugs galore? Are you serious? I haven't encountered a single bug during both playthroughs. If anything, the old 2033 was full of shit. Read more than two people's impressions before judging a game. There's a lot of angry idiots, especially on ''YARRRRR" forums, that have weird opinions on everything

for me, only having a laptop, the redux games run way way faster than the old games. ok, admittingly i didnt play the first game, but Last Light become so choppy, it was not playable anymore, now no problems at all. Great games!...except for the filter thing...i dont like to manage my filters in an game like that.
