I am AWESOME wrote: Why on earth would you spread this? Are you stupid or trying to get attention & hits, Royalgamer06? The more you spread, the sooner, Valve will fix the issue. Worse, they might just 'remove' the game for all. Just keep these things to RIN community (as it was founded by community member). And I'm being generous. Okay, I will remember. FYI, I'm not doing it for attantion or whatever. I just want to share it for others. |

Thank you Royalgamer06 for your answer. -- Edit -- I am AWESOME wrote: Why on earth would you spread this? Are you stupid or trying to get attention & hits, Royalgamer06? The more you spread, the sooner, Valve will fix the issue. Worse, they might just 'remove' the game for all. Just keep these things to RIN community (as it was founded by community member). It is true, we saw what happened with FarCry Blood Dragon and the excellent Ownership tool. --Edit-- Someone have a good links for the DLC, please. In advance thank you. |

I installed DTLite first, and it didn't work, so upgraded to Pro, worked straight away Make sure you install the extra driver that it comes with too, (SPTD driver) |

I am AWESOME wrote: The more you spread, the sooner, Valve will fix the issue. Worse, they might just 'remove' the game for all. I doubt that. There's nothing to 'fix' here, since the process is the same for legit customers. In order to 'fix' the issue they would need to find a method of telling the emulation drive from a physical CD drive which many DRM vendors like SecuROM have been trying to do for ages. The problem is that you can't just reject the machine for having the tools installed - you actively need to be able to tell which drives are emulated ones and which ones aren't. Daemon Tools uses SPTD which acts as a kernel debugger (not even kidding) and thus I would be amazed if they could ban all the pirates. Lastly, this is not even Valve's matter, but rather 2K's. It's their tool and the activation is handled by them. That being said, as legit owner of Borderlands 1 & 2 GOTY I don't even care if they ban all the pirates

There is also no way to remove the bull's eye pointed at this forum now thanks to certain someone. People will surely notice, be it from 2K of Valve. You think they will pay attention to this thread only and not the others, especially the tools in the Release section? And doubt your caring matters at all in the first place. What's done is done. |

Sure, what I did is stupid. I did not think it through. It was late in the night. But I am not yet a moron. Nothing bad has happened. Once it does, then you have all right to call me a moron. |

@belphegore Are you on Windows 8.1, if yes, you need the newest version of DAEMON Tools resp. of the SPTD driver, everthing else will fail on this OS... |
