Going from lurker to poster to try and help kalamity222. I've been following this thread and it's been very very helpful in getting the game to work. I had the exact same problems, client started just fine but no server, no msql. I could start the server manually but no command window ever popped up even though it was running in the background and I could not access the local server.

I downloaded the dedicated files via steamcmd as others have posted, overwrote the files in the game directory with those and now it works just fine. I highly recommend trying that. This is the first time I've used the steamcmd thing, it's very easy just follow the instructions for your OS here: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD

Make sure once you've overwritten the files you re-crack the game with the TW:II crack and change the appid in the Revolt.ini to 290080. Now double check that you do not have any of the processes that others have listed running in task manager, even one easily missed extra msql and the game won't run. Run the client as admin, in my case once I tried to create a world the msql, daemon and server command window all started and I finally saw the create player menu! It's very fiddly, one thing done wrong and it just refuses to run. I hope this helps.

I´m getting an strange error "Error to setup light manager" something related with Torque Engine is made.

I´m trying all options to setup a dedicated machine (both from SteamCMD and replacing the files from 3DM release)

any tips?

Managed to open a real dedicated server. But only users with latest version can join to server. Anyone have the differencial update? or Latest files?

can't help you with differential patch, but 800mb shouldn't be too bad to download nowadays

on first or second page you got the 0.1.7.0 client

  • Download and install the game. Example
  • Go to Steam.
  • Start the game yo_cm_client.exe
  • Open the console tilde "~"
  • Enter joinToRemoteServer ("game.fianna.ru:28000")
  • Create a character and enjoy the alpha test

This is a pirate server.

Got this:

- Version 3DM -> Dedicated Server from SteamCMD = Mismatch
- Version 0.17 -> Dedicated Server from SteamCMD = Mismatch
- Version Origina - > Dedicated SteamCMD = Ok
- Version 3DM -> Dedicated server from 0.17 cs.rin.ru = mismatch
- Version 0.17 -> Dedicated server from 0.17 cs.rin.ru = mismatch

Any other suggestion? 0.17 means updated version from steam with Revolt crack.

EDIT

I discovered Dedicated Server 0.17 is not the vanilla one. I need the previous version 0.16, 0.17 cannot be played now.

i only tried SmartSteamEmu and lumaemu,

i got error using lumaemu (client and server),


i have made a "portable" server (with mariaDB in it to test), with SSE it launch fine and i got

The server requires it's own steam ID, mine is something with 9 at the beginning without a crack. But when I use SSE for example it initialize the steam thingy, but the server doesn't get an ID...
Which results in the ticket error I think.

Yeah but somehow the server doesn't generate one when using SSE, at least it doesn't show it in the console as it should. I think that's the issue with the ticket error.
It might work when setting the generation type to PersonaName inside SmartSteam.ini to fake a steam username...or remove the authentification from one of the scripts. (The server says Auth = 2 before it starts the steam thingy)
