yeah Norton isnt the best security software !
most people would reccommend some other brand..
thats why i said try Kaspersky Antivirus for example.
And maybe Agnitum firewall ?

The key point i was trying to make was,
DO please use a firewall !
whatever one you choose ?
try and learn how to configure it the best ya can.

and the other point i was trying to tell ya
is that there ain't much point putting
security software (Antivirus or firewall)
with out getting your system cleaned out first !
And thats why i suggested f-prot for dos.

Also it is mandatory to install ALL windows patchs..
for example there is a large amount of people
that "don't like" service pack 2 for xp..
So they don't install it ? they don't have sum of the updates then !

And i don't think the next version of windows
will be Final retail for long time yet (longhorn)
although i heard a the first beta will be out mid year..
(so far there has been only alphas released)

Finally the last thing i'd say is,
Research the security issue and try and
learn as much as you can and try out a couple
different Firewalls / Antirus Programs
and maybe some online virii scanners too ?
Good luck guy

I use the free Zone alarm and Avast.
Avast is really a good antivirus and it's free if you register. It has actually found more viruses than norton. When i had norton it couldn't scan bzip2 files but avast can. I don't know if norton can scan it now though.
Zone alarm is also good and in my opinion it's much better than norton. It's simple and free. Some people have troubles with ZA and CS but i don't have that.

And since it's the most used antivirus alot of viruses can disable it to
Seriously some viruses actually can disable it. Until norton patch it. And it cost alot to if you plan to buy it.

All i know about the program is what i have found out when helping people at LAN. On some peoples computer a message box shows up every 30 sec after you've disabled it and i haven't found any way to disable the fucking message. And I asked a guy working with computer security and he said don't use norton it sucks.
Anti spam? do you mean popups or something like that? If so stop using Iexplorer and start using Firefox.

I had different ones none of them good .... Befor i had Norton it sucked ... then I installed McAfee but Norton wouldn't give up a control over the system even though I uninstalled it so I had to reinstall the whole windows .... now I'm using McAfee but I'm far away from satisfaction ...

Hahaha the only reason Norton sucks cause it had a simple interface so u can interact with the software quite easily ... if it was more hard to use u guys would liek it more hehehe

Ok i have Norton Systemworks Premier 2005 but it's liek this ...

The first file is a PHX-NSWP.bin file ...

and the second file is a PHX-NSWP.cue file ...

How do I install it with these 2 files? my brother has the same one on his laptop but I can't ask him how ... it won't seem right ... brother stuff hehehe

say if u brought this software this year on Jan ... and ur friend buy's it the same year on Octobor or something is there gona be more improvements on his version or they gona be both the same?

thankx

It should have an installer as it is the Phoenix release. Burn it, pop it into the cd drive and it should run the autorun.

Alcohol aint that hard to use.

1. Open Alcohol.
2. Click on "Image Burning Wizard".
3. Select the image.
4. blah etc.
5. Done!
