I have two VGA cables from two non-working monitors and I wanted to splice them together. How about I go about this?

I really don't recommend you doing that if you don't want to risk fucking up something. Such cables are way too cheap to actually go and do such improvisations. Besides, if you splice them, there are big chances that you will get bad signal since this is vga not dvi!

Mr.Deviance The boss at my job says, do this. I don't really like him, but an assignment is an assignment. I will say, this can mess your stuff up, but if he goes ahead and it breaks, I will laugh and laugh.

You can't directly 'splice' the cables. That would destroy them. However, you can use a VGA gender changer, something like Beside that, there's no way. Anyway, these things are cheap.

you could carefully solder each wire together or (if you dont want to buy anything) remove the metal surrounfing the pins and solder those together.
