Some days ago i was able to use internet for many hours without disruption. But now whenever i went to any website using firefox or ie it shows connection timed out.And in the event viewer sometimes shows this error.
Source-Tcpip
Event id-4226
Type-Warning
TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts.

I have resetted the winsock paaram many times and used tcp optimiser. But still its showing same error.
So any help would be appreciated.

You're using any kind of P2P on your computer? Might be related. Else check for viruses.

Nope, but torrents = P2P.

Make sure net.max_halfopen isn't set higher than 50 in uTorrent's advanced settings.

Do you mean the TCP/IP patching itself? It shouldn't.

Check if there are any other network-intensive apps running. Maybe do a malware check. If you're only running uTorrent with that value set to 8, there's no reason the new half-open limit of 100 should be hit.

Malware Bytes is good. So is Microsoft Security Essentials.

Tell me what you're running and I'll tell you which one(s) it could be.

Apart from the ones hegyak said, I'd recommend NOD32. I don't know if it's the best, but it works for me.

Maybe, if you're downloading a lot of files at the time.

It can't occur in Windows 7, because the half-open connections limit was changed to a registry entry with Vista SP2 from the enforced limit in XP.

Unless you set that entry to limit the amount of half-open connections, that event cannot be triggered in W7.
