Sure thing, I agree, but what's a moderator's job, if not to maintain the peace in his community? :)

Don't you know that your government is thinking the same? They think just like you are thinking right now. They think a game with blood and death in it will cause violence and so they ruin games. They think you will start smoking when you see someone smoking so they ruin movies. They think you will curse when you hear curse words so they ruin music.

Don't be like that.

Oldies are the best.

When shit used to be good.

You just can't have a world where people act nice to each other thats impossible and human is not meant to like everyone.

True, but that's not the point here... we don't expect people to act all nice to everyone. Only to respect the forum rules and avoid flaming, which apparently currently happens just about every time Skidrow is talked about.

I'm sorry, but our government here doesn't care about that. They only care for TEH MONEY$$$!!111
Just like every other world authority.
We barely get news for such small actions,we usually get the worst results possible, from them, announced, like murder for example.Lit fires, club fights, drug dealing and that's just scratching the surface. And the city underground is also present everywhere.

I know we are an internet underground community, but that doesn't mean we can write or do whatever we want.We have to show that we can be civilized people, not some braindead idiots that don't know which is left and which is right.

Then you lock when you think a topic will go bad, not because a topic actually went bad. That is suppressing, that is censorship.

Pointless. There is no 'going bad' for a thread. After all, this is a discussion forum on a specific topic, Steam-related things that is. It's not a place to proclaim your own opinion on a subject unrelated to that. It's neither any form of suppression nor censorship. If the moderation team decides that a specific thread is not appropriate within the context of said forum, then it is at their will to remove inappropriate content. You don't have to agree with their decision to do so, and can impugn it. Sure, you may feel free to do so. Nevertheless, it does usually not help your case.

Considering the thread in question, in response to which I suspect this thread here was started, it may have been a sapient step to examine it more thoroughly. If you had done so, you would have probably become aware of the fact, that it was solely made to affront a certain group, and nothing else.

Be that as it may, you started this discussion to draw attention to threads locked in the past, which you contradictorily did not name explicitely. For some reason, you must have the feeling that you've become the victim of some injustice, which is revealed by you remarking that you "haven't created any topic since [sic] weeks".

If I may ask, what specific "unjustly" locked threads are you referring to in specific?

Lastly, I can only recommend the forum's staff to not to permit discussion on such topics. It would be definitely a better and more prudent policy of yours, if you were not enabling such fundamental questioning of your judgements. Instead, you're probably better settled by restricting users to personal messages in case they'd wish to intimate their reflections on your rulings.

Rule 2.4.

Answer to the initial question: No.

Question answered, rule applies, thread locked.

Any more questions? Follow the rule and be specific.

Yes, it's really that easy.

On a side note, I'm not sure what this thread was supposed to accomplish. If a point was supposed to be made, it should have been made clearly.
