As the title says..

Im curious if anyone around here is a member there ?

I had a bad ratio there for a while and i got some automated msg's
(like 4 of them at once) asking me to fix my stats etc.. so i did.
it was negative and i fixed it to 3.40 - about 6gb up and 1.5 down

So today i got another one from a Mod/ User and the guy was bitching
asking me to read the uploading FAQ or he was gonna disable my account.

And this is messed up because i've left EVERY download seeding last few weeks
like 20hrs a day at about 50KB up on average and downloading almost nothing

I told the guy i've had enough and go fuckyourself and disable my account i dont care anymore
So he did lol

So do think i should have been harrassed @ 6gb Uploaded and 1.5gb Downloaded ?
And another week it would have prob been 2gb down and 12gb up
I *WAS trying hard to seed everything perm all day all night so i don't get it :/

That place is hands down the most whacked out crazy private tracker ive used !

Never heard of them before. To my joy, apparently. On a sidenote, I cannot get the site to load either, are you sure you got the URL right?

This is not to say everyone in the private tracker scene is like this (stupid just stands out more), but many trackers are run by kids that expect the fame and goodies that come with being staff on a "l33t" place. That's why so many new sites close shortly after they open and their owners realize it just doesn't work that way. There's even a guy who started a torrent forum just so that he could get invited somewhere, that's plain stupid.

If you aren't a member of other more respectable trackers already, send me a PM and I'll invite you to a pretty good one where you should have no issues.

I am on blackcats. They are good people. Also on Cheggit and BakaBT. Though Cheggit is NSFW.

I think i'd rather stay away from Private Trackers too much obligation to seed

Im a leecher i'll admit it ;)
Thats why i made a Leecher Mod called xpmule lol
Its funny people are still updating it long after i abbandoned it (i googled the name recently)
i give up on it because the edonkey network is dead.
But i still ofcourse have my src code still and i never did release the last version i made (xpMule v0.48a)
my family and friends always ask for my emule leecher client when i re-install their windows etc

I remember xpMule. It was a pretty good mod, from what I recall. Actually, check this out. :D

As per my post on that thread, I've never been a huge eMule fan. But I used it for single tracks (when I didn't know any better) and the occasional rare thing I couldn't find anywhere else. Back in those days you could always find many large servers with many users connected. Now, last time I checked, there were only a few non-fake ones.

Emule is fairing better then Limewire or those other P2P clients. Those things are virus central.

It may be because I'm a relative newcomer to filesharing, but I don't recall the Gnutella network being anything else than that. It did get worse over time, however. With the amount of crap you get regardless of what you search, I don't know how many people still use it.

Ares had its glory days until late 2007, which is when copyright agencies started uploading fake files. Before that, roughly 95% of available content was legitimate (or at least that's my experience).

Speaking of limewire, now that it's dead I have to go on site with direct download shitty connection speed like beemp3 ... miss the old limewire.

If you really want Limewire back, use Frostwire. But, I HIGHLY recommend against it. There is WAY too much danger on the entire Gnutella network to even think of using it.

Try Groovedown or Ares, in that order. The former is a program to rip tracks from Grooveshark, an online music streaming service. It basically gives you access to its huge music collection, which is said to be composed of over three million songs, at high speed, with no need to upload, and fakes are virtually non-existent. However, some popular artists can't be found there due to licensing restrictions.

The later is a traditional P2P program which operates on its own network. It has much less crap than Limewire, but isn't totally devoid of it.

I prefer to avoid the torrent, because with our new ultra-conservative government is approaching the Nazis, They watch our internet connection so ... torrent not good for me

It truly is, but keeping a positive ratio there can be a full-time job. Many people get their albums from places where ratio isn't a problem and leave What for stuff that's rarer and/or they desire in a particular format/quality. Thanks to their special ratio system, you can get away with stealing 20 GB of stuff before upload requirements apply, as long as you seed it all. :D
