No, ps2 emulation is fine if your video card (Nvidia 4+) Can handle the graphics acceleration. Most games can be played on a playstation2 emulator (Depending on the emulatee.)

Umm.. no. Its just that there aren't any good working emulators for ps2 out yet. None of them work well with many games. There are only a few selected games that work decently.
