to make it minimise everything would be difficult, I wouldn't bother. To make it play a sound, that is easy. In the toolbar, find the object called an OLE object. Put it in your project anywhere, you can go to it's properties and make visible = false so that it can't be seen when the program runs. When you insert it, it will ask for the type of file to run. Select the sound file you want to use, then when you want it to play, type this in: OLE1.doverb If you use a wav file it will probably open windows media player to play it, but that doesn't matter. There is also a complicated way to do it that works without opening media player, but I don't have how to do it right now. I'll find it if you ask. |

thx guys, i was getting an error earlier from this... it was like error 13.. anyone else getting this?it happened after the timer popped up and i let it sit there also jarro, when i try to make it so you can minimize it, i put the minimize in form options to true it doesnt change it..and inside form1.load i tried it and it gave me errors..any ideas? 2ndly, when you minimize it by clickin the flower, the messagebox doesnt come to the front..any way to make it? |

i couldnt get the doverb to work.. i selected a song.. then i put " Private Sub OLE1_Updated(Code As Integer) If Text1.Text = 0 Then OLE1.DoVerb End Sub " so it would start at 0 but nothing happened : /, any other ways |
