while i haven't updated cf toolbox (don't know when maybe i'll continue cf toolbox dev since next week)... you can try to use a tcp logger / firewall logs to see to what servers steam connects. it should be one of the firsts after clicking on "login" usualy with port 27030/27038/27035 . or try the ones from clientregistry.blob in /TopKey/SteamServerAddressCache/ConfigServerIPAddrPort |

The account that fails tries to connect to 207.173.177.11:27030 which is: steam1.steampowered.com hlmaster1.hlauth.net the account that works connects to: 207.173.177.11:27030 . . . which is the same address . .

Starts out talking to 207.173.177.11:27030 Here's the convo with the failed account: Me: 00 00 00 02 Server: 01 Me: 00 00 00 05 Me: 00 f2 13 82 44 Server: 00 00 00 02 00 00 Here's the convo with the good account: Me: 00 00 00 02 Server: 01 Me: 00 00 00 05 Me: 00 3f 01 9e 8a Server: 00 00 00 08 00 01 48 a5 3d 90 9f 69 48 A5 3D 90 is hex for 1218788752 which is the longip form of 72.165.61.144, and 9f 69 converted to a short is 27039. Then it connects to 72.165.61.144:27039 in which it looks like the authentication stuffs happens. So maybe somebody who knows the steam protocol a bit better can explain what that second data burst sends and maybe we can debug what's goin on 
If it makes any difference, the steamlogin.py code from the server-emu package can login fine, so evidently something is hardcoded into CFtoolbox wrong. |
