because you can download other games with this tool ;) and you can update your .gcf/ncf files with it that you have but are outdated ;).

In either way try to read more in this topic before you ask :P.

you can't load most games from steam.. but you can download the GCFs from the content sharing section http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewforum.php?f=22 and then keep your games up to date with cftoolbox

How to update my gfc files ?!
Every time i try to download files from CFToolbox it display an error , something like : No Authentication server available. Automatically retry ?!

I've noticed that direct download from my webhost there doesn't work for everybody..
However, I've updated the chmod settings, might work better now.

Oh yea, and the attachment mod is disabled atm.

Did Any1 know when are we going to be able to update gfc's again via CFToolbox.

next week ? (no promise there.... cause i'm a bit puzzled by the auth error.... i suspect VALVe specialy tried to prevent CF Toolbox from being able to login ... nothing sure yet ...)

i will (try to) correct this auth error, and will then start a total rewriting of all my steam related code cause it's way too dirty and impossible to maintain ... some clean modelisation is required and i now have a good vision of how things are working and what i want to do :) but all this will take "some" time ...

concerning the auth problem, i would like people who are not able to login with cf toolbox to try to login in steam and then to check if they are able to login in cf toolbox. thanks for this important feedback ...
