The favorites tab not showing the servers is caused by RevEmu. UCL is just a launcher, and it doesn't has anything with the favorites tab. The only way you can make the favorites tab work, is to wait for the new RevEmu to be released. Then the favorites tab will work on every game.

Hi everyone,
First I want to felicitate all the people that mekes UCL possible, sorry form my poor english. I´ve been using UCL 2.0 Slphs 4 with the latest REVEMU, adn I found one bug but I don´t Know if it´s for UCL or for RevEMU. I start playing perfect CS:S but there is no way to add any server to my favourites, with other programs like SteamUP!, I use the masterserver of setti servers and then I add to my favourites all I want, but with UCL there is no way.
Another thing, I´ve read that if I want to use my PC for playing in LAN mode (listen server) I´ve to edit rev.ini and change <steam=E:\steam\steam.dll> for the real path of my original Steam.dll, ok, I´ve made a search for this archive (Steam.dll) and there is no one Steam.DLL in all Steam Folder, I only have found it in \UCL\rev\steam.dll, Can I use this one?

Thanks

aTr already explained you about favourites. Leme explain about steam.dll
Revemu can use steam.dll from original Steam form VALVe. You need to have Steam installed to use that feature. We address Steam's steam.dll as original, and the one in revemu as revemu's steam.dll.
But to create listen server, original steam.dll is not necessary, not in LAN at least.
For online, i think it is recommended to enable that feature.
So again, there in rev.ini you specify path of original steam.dll, not the one isnide UCL.

Post subject:  Enabling Server Browser

Enabling Server Browser

Update: Since UCL 2.0.0.6 (alpha 6) which packs RevEmu 9.8.3, the server browser is built in RevEmu, no futher steps are required.

The methods down are valid for RevEmu 9.81RC4 which was packed in UCL 2.0.0.5 and older.
1)Use original serverbrowser - recommeded method (Installed steam is required)
-In rev.ini similar to SteamDll there is ClientDll option where you specify original steamclient.dll
Set that (and make sure its uncommented - character # is removed)
For Source 2007 (TF2) and newer (L4D)
--In your Steam folder open config, and replace MasterServer.vdf with the Setti one. Then right click>Properties and enable Read Only, otherwise steam might revert it back to its original.
Start TF2.
For Source (CSS) and older (CS)
--Go to steamapps\<steam username in ucl>\<game>\platform\config\ and replace masterserver.vdf with the setti one. Set it as read only.
-Start the game, click Find Servers.

* <steam username in ucl> is probably "UCL" (without quotes) unless you've changed it from Settings.

2)WafServerBrowser
I already packed it with ucl but its disabled by default.
-open rev.ini
-At the end you will see (if it's not there enter it - copy ot from here)
  1. [external]
  2. #SteamMatchMakingServers=wafserverbrowser.dll
Remove the # character and save
-Then download setti MasterServer.vdf
And put it steamapps\<steam username in ucl>\Team fortress 2\platform\config
if platform and config folders dont exist create them.
-Start the game, click Find Servers.

-------------------------------------------

To conenct manually to a server open console and type: connect ipAddress:port
To enable console go to Settings>Keyboard>Advanced>Enable Develoer Console in TF2
Press ~ to open it.

Thanks for your explication, I have installed Steam also, but I´m loonkig for the archive steam.dll and y can´t find it, I use the search of my computer, and it´s sais to me that the only steam.dll is in RevEmu directory, perhaps it´s due to I´ve also installed SteamUP!, but I don´t know exactly todoay I will make a harder search.

Thank you for the class

I see steam, one steam little dll.

Joke aside. Go to the folder where you installed steam, for example C:\Program Files\Steam
You'll see steam.dll. The picture up is the proof.

I finally found it, and I edit rev.ini and now I can create an online game, works perfect. Thanks.
One last question, this is the stable Alpha 4, when the final program, or the alpha 5 wiil be a reality, What I have to do to upgrade the program whiout less my configuration?? I think I´ve seen and update option in tool´s menu, that could be the solution.

The auto update feature isn't working atm. I think i'll fix it in the next release.

To update UCL just extract the new archive where the old UCL files are and confirm overwrite.
That way you may overwrite rev.ini with a default one.
If you want to keep your old rev.ini just move it it aside, update and then move it back.

I can't find that line in rev.ini.

Which line?

I'm guessing about the serverbrowser. See the tut again i modified a little.
I added a note: if you can't find it enter it by yourself. Just see it again.

Fix your gcfs. Use CFToolbox and valdate and correct, or use steam and validate the game.

validated the files using cftoolbox-files are valid

Post subject:  Enabling RevLoader in UCL

Some new games like Dawn of War 2, Fallout 3 - games that will throw error like this "Application load error : X:XXXXXX", and some older have some anti crack measures that check the signature of steam.dll. RevEmu can crack this protection too but it is disabled by default. Here is how to enable.
At the end of the ini add this code.
  1. [Loader]
  2. ProcName=dummy
  3. SteamClientDll=<path-to-original-steamclient>
The rev.ini packed with UCL has this code, but it is commented. Remove the char # and set the steamclient path. Save the file.

Then inside the game folder, where the game exe is located, create a txt file named steam_appid.txt, open it and add the appid of the game and save it.
To see the appid of the game, open UCL, right click on the game>Edit content. you'll see the appid. close that window. Add that number to the file.

UPDATE: Creation of steam_appid.txt is not needed since UCL 2.0.0.6 + revemu 9.8.3
Play.
