I can confirm "steam validation rejected" with rev-emu 9.76RC3 and the "status" crash in TF2 with latest build...I moved back to 2.2

Rev Emu 2.3 L4D 1.0.1.3 (3826) - NS becomes "Validation rejected" while using externalmodule.

Hello revcrew,
Thanks for your work. Non-steam Source clients stay with steam_id_pending and only one player can be in the server, because when a 2nd one joins he is disconnected with the message (reason "STEAM UserID STEAM_ID_PENDING is already in use on this server"). Can you fix this to non-steam players so that they have a steam ID generated from their IP address?

FrostFlame Is that counter-strike source? Please use esteamation/vup if so, and make sure you specify "VUP" in rev.cfg

Cant connect to Left4Dead 1.0.1.3 online, only LAN allowed. require #define STEAMAPPS_INTERFACE_VERSION003 typing 'status' will crash the server.

Hi!
I have a problem with the server L4D 1.0.1.3. Rev emu downloaded 2.4, I copied the folder 'bin', and rev.cfg steamclient_linux.so. Unfortunately, I can not connect to the server.
# Valve_Reject_LAN_Game
The server is on LAN. Included ExternalModule = steamclient_linux.so but it does not give you anything, the server crashes, when you type status, what I do wrong?

Hi matz,
you should have ExternalModule=steamclient_linux.so.orig , or the name of the original steamclient_linux.so file was renamed, if it was. If you didnt do any backup of that file you'll have to redownload it again ( ./steam -command update -verify_all -game left4dead -dir ./ ), rename it as steamclient_linux.so.orig, and copy rev-emu steamclient_linux.so again to bin directory.

Because I saw in features: - Your server will accept all players - All players will be validated and assigned theirs Steam ID based on IP addresses - No other server patch is required (like VUP or REV_PATCH) So would be good if revcrew fix this problem and make CSS non-steam players have they steam ID generated from the IP address. With that we wont need VUP for anything..

I updated the files command ./Steam bla bla .. I have steamclient_linux.so file (about 38mb), changed its name to steamclient_valve.so. I copied rev.cfg and steamclient_linux.so (with emulator 2.4). In rev.cfg i left ExternalModule = steamclient_valve.so Had done so? because if so it still does not work .. This is the same .. LAN  btw. sr, for my english

Do your server report *** [R] Using external module steamclient_valve.so at startup? if no, chances are that rev.cfg isnt in the appropiate path (./l4d, not ./l4d/bin ).
use +sv_lan 0 also,

guys...need help...i'm running fresh installation l4d server 1.0.1.3 under fedora and centOS
any idea why revemu 2.4 won't load in fedora core 10 ?
in centos revemu 2.4 works perfectly with externalmodule
