try with the latest version i just posted on first post.
I recommend to delete the appinfo.vdf before using this new version

Ran into another problem:

check in appmanifest_42700.acf, it lists a manifest :
steam\depotcache\42702_6257032900290287777.manifest
but this files doesn't exist...

the "unavailable app info" is cause it seems that you need to own the app so the cm server will send info to u ...
but it's another problem

Ah I see... So there's no way to obtain the .manifest file without purchasing the game??

I got the .manifest files and the .ACF file, but STILL I can't install the game with:

for a game I haven't got the .manifest and .ACF files for it says:

for the command line i'm not sure, but for tincf, just click on the .acf file in the list instead of going to "install" then click "download update"

Sorry I just misunderstood the use of this tool.
I thought it was for INSTALLING games via .ACF and .manifest files.
Now I found out it is just for validating and updating. Still thanks for explaining and this tool is really handy, used it for a broken game on steam that I bought and this fixed the mistake!!!

So I finally got state of decay to be readable by this program and now when I go to validate it I get this error. I click on the state of decay (which says its outdated) and this error comes along

Error : IOException (5) : File open error : C:\Games\cracked Steam\SteamApps\appmanifest_241540.acf

Any help will be much appreciated

Been trying to update the vdf and all it does is spam

yeah, valve changed a few things in the server protocol, so i guess all my tools connecting to cm servers stopped working :)

Hmm , ran into another problem ( or is it related ) with "Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY"
and tincft opens with a blank error 500 page

So if i need an update for an acf game i need to create an *.version file? Is there any thread for update requests around?
I have been away from the scene and missed the whole steam pipe thing......Now a lot of gcf´s are simply gone and i´m trying to rebuild my steamapps.

Yesterday it works fine to update appinfo with version 2014-01-11 (you posted at last) of TINcft.
