I solved my problem. I misunderstood the tutorial and put the steam and steamclient dlls in the main folder. Once I moved them to /bin it started working. Now I get "Engine hunk overflow" when I try to set up a server. But only with a few maps. |

Migelo Are they custom maps? Look in the console if you want to see the problem with more details. It's a game problem,so it's not the emulator's fault nothing to worry about |

Can't you change it in-game?Through the console?(I wonder if the game has it) Add this line in rev.ini and see if it works.

Hey, Source_Engine, still trying to make a Counter-Strike Source Standalone but I can't (and dont really want to) use MiSteamPrep. So I rextracted all the packages and what not and now I got this rather simple but infuriating error: Cannot load the library client. I was wondering if this was a common glitch with source games and with a common fix. Another question, which is sort of offtopic but anywho, could I run Sourcemod and metamod source on a offline non-dedicated server because I have done it with Left 4 Dead (using the survivor mods- laser sights etc.) and I want to use Zombie Riot mod. I think it should work, but its not really important so feel free to completly ignore this part of my post. Thanks in Advance, Asmodeus 97 |

Asmodeus 97 This is obviously an engine error. You know that the CS:S was updated to the Orange Box Source Engine,so you also need to extract multiplayer ob binaries.gcf and also the source 2007 GCFs.And also don't forget that the revEmu .dll files belong in the \bin folder. As for L4D Dedicated server+Metamod+Sourcemod, you don't have to worry about anything. All they require is the dedicated server files, you can use it calmly in a LAN network. |

Sorry for the double post, but I just updated the tutorial. Nothing's really changed,I just updated it to revEmu's current condition. |

@Source_engine I have 2 questions about your nice tutorial. I create a batch file to launch CS:S with RevEmu how it´s described in the tut. But then it asks for steam_appid.txt I know I can create the steam_appid.txt manually and then it works. But your tut doesn´t say this, also you only mention it regarding RevLoader/NCF-Content So am I doing something wrong ? Or why does it ask for the file ? My second question is about the "-steam" parameter in the ".bat" file. You say "Without it,the emulator won't be applied and the game will give you an error" I don´t get an error or something like that, the game starts just fine with and without it. Are you sure this parameter is really necessary ??? |

Thanks, helped me make a garrysmod standalone today. Very useful Did not think of using CFToolbox to check what GCFs a game required, saved so much time & space! |

St:Oned1 Because the emulator used to function like that in the time when I was writing the tutorial.I do admit it's a little bit outdated. Agret Always glad to be of service |
