Post subject:  Steam.dll -- source of ticket errors?
No, I'm not asking the ultra-retard question about the ticket errors. I used ResHack.exe to open Steam.dll and found this in the string tables (attached). Perhaps by screwing around with this, the problem can be fixed?

If you want to see for yourself, download Resource Hacker (free). Dunno where I got it so google it. When you have it open Steam.dll, go to "string tables" and expand, then expand the first folder icon beneath that.

Tell me what you think.

this already been done ...but the bypass leads to another dead end...cause you cant connect to the servers with no error

You can redirect the error though, to another fault. The most harmless one I found was "already registered". This has been done too?

actually theres 3... steamui_38, steamui_40, and steam_12

my steam works, im just using ppatcher. my steam_12 file, when opened in wordpad says:

When i wanna play online this error appears:

Connecting to 18x.xx.xx.xx
SteamGetEncryptedUserIDTicket failed (1)
reason--SteamGetEncryptedUserIDTicket() failed with error 1: Illegal game launch detected

I update the original steam and copy ClientRegistry.blob and steam dll to my cracked cs:source folder...

soz dude be patient a while longer ... there still working thier assess off on a way to bypass that damn ticket error ! Congrats to them and for thier sheer hard work for our own pleasure and excitement :wink:
