Would it not be possible to use ppatcher to patch the code so that steam creates tickets in the way it used to before the update?

the blob on your pc is a temporary storage of the valve auth server certification\verification whatever..
ppatcher as alredy explained patched memory glitches wich you cant fake a vaiid ticket with that since its clientside duh!
and third of all valve verificates your blob when u start ur game and when u connect to server to make sure everysingle thing is ok
it has a data of your account on its auth server wich has nothing in it but an empty account wich means u get expired since u got no legit data...

hCUPa i might got the idea to work it out..
1. if we get inough information what auth servers do
we can make a clientside fake authserver wich when create a vailid blob and send the info to valves auth server and then u could fake tickets -i myself think its a dumbass idea but whatever-
2. we can flood auth server before chacking teh blob in our pc with the data stored on the auth server with packets that somehow will block the auth server to actualy check the data and u could join and play on server..
3. i speak insanity..

ohh and unpacked version does uses ur emu with some modification but the ini note removed since new mods gonna come out or whatever

The first idea sounds great. It'd be kinda like "BnetD" cept that had its own community.

first ( when u start steam ) the valve authentication server creates the key and when u try to play it checks it. i don't think it's possible to create a fake key.
am i right?

i have the ticket error and here is what i found, dunno if it will help by the way, i started SDK and compiled a map and ran it from sdk, it showed up, and people began to join, like if my listen server was legit (with ticket error you cant create legit listenservers from steam), so i thought perhaps there is a way to emulate a "development" status and bypass that ticket check, just an idea.

Actually hCUPa there's still an method.. it is very easy and it's client side.. PM me for more info if ya want =) but im sure it aint going to work for six / ppatcher etc

and yeh we did use your emu becuz it's better for all other ppl.
ps. has nothing to do with the .blob file
