CS.RIN.RU - Steam Underground Community

I'm a n00b when it comes to CS1.6, is there anyway I can play it while the ticket error gets fixed? I've never played normal CS before, only CS:S.

I now have the GCF's for CS, but I'm not sure if this is ver. 1.6, and if they can be somehow used with this "steam-less" CS1.6. Has anyone here managed this? If so, how?

Yes I have read those stickiesyour mentioned, I even used non steam down to connect to a french server and shoot a few bots last week...

Well, steam-down and the new non steam-down things are quite new, so there aren't a great amount of servers around, but the situation is improving.

Now, in my post above I mentioned "steamless"... This is what I meant: www.steamlessproject.nl

Now, this allows CS1.6 to be played without steam, and it's been about for a while. Now, I'm about to D/L it, but I'm wondering if anyone on here knows if it's any good? Are there a great amount of servers (in the uk maybe)?

Ok, thanks for letting me know... This saves me digging out my HL1 files, then putting on steamless just to find it's buggy and there are next to no servers.

Thanks for the server list also, it's a shame there are no UK ones, but I'm sure they're will be some soon. I might look into starting my own even. Cheers!
