I've heard from a friend that Civ5 is being patched almost daily, none of those patches are available for the pirate release. The question is simple. What can we do? It's a consensus in many forums i go that DLC and patches are the way that most developers being using to combat piracy, they use the fact that patches on steam and similar programs are very rarely cracked to ensure that the pirate edition of a game is always going to be inferior. This is the single greatest threat against piracy but many people don't see it as so. Can we turn the tide? Or this practice is going to be able to weaken piracy even further.

Well to be honest, its a SKIDROW release, and they really support their releases with patches, so I wouldn't be too worried if I were you. No doubt, they'll release the updates, if not daily, perhaps a whole bunch of releases all together

As for the DLC, I'm pretty sure, they'll pop up eventually.

Your friend is talking out of his ass. The most recent and only patch so far is 1.0.0.17, and SKIDROW implemented that one in their initial release.

So, if you are playing the SKIDROW version at the moment, you're up to date.

Well, just today, 1.0.0.20 was released on steam.

Yeah, i hope for an update and additionally for the DLCs.

We all hope. If i had any idea about how it work i could ask the help form the brazilian community to see if they can help.

Despite the game being patched there is no version missmatch errors when connecting to different versions.

I've found a link for the Babylon DLC and the Mesopotamia Map, are external Links to Warez sites allowed here?

Each of the Map DLCs is only one file, which is located under the Steam Directory in steamapps/common/sid meier's civilization v/assets/maps. The name is mesopotamia.civ5map, or (probably) mediterranean.civ5map, americas.civ5map, asia.civ5map.

Simply unpack it into the Civ5 directory. I've ensured that it runs with the Skidrow Release, with other Releases or the Original it's possible that it works. The other contents of the Digital Deluxe Edition by Steam are also included.
