Hello everybody,
i am searching for a launcher for a planned LAN-Party. I downloaded UCL 2.0.0 b6 but in the server browser there is no server found. The server browser only shows the message, that Steam beta must be running. Can you give me an advise, what launcher i should use or how to set up UCL to make the server browser work? I only need the launcher for LAN to connect to my dedicated server. There is no need to connect to an online server or something else.

try using the "connect IP" command in console if lan browser fails. one reason why it didnt work for me sometimes was that our computers were in different workgroups but the connect command should always work.

With the conect command css says: #GameUI_ServerRequireSteam
is it possible to set up the server, that there is no steam needed to connect?
My server was downloaded with hlsdupdatetool.

i think it needs to be cracked first (check release section for that) but i´ve never done that because lan games were always hosted on listen servers trough cracked steam for me

You should set "-insecure +sv_lan 1" on the server and then all ids will be STEAM_ID_LAN and you should be able to play fine
