Soo, I thought about just replacing the scoreboards for team instant action with the ones from the demo to get them working, but there is a little problem:

What the Hell!?...
Requesting help for extracting this archive/whatever it is to reach the scoreboard files :D

How to extract Nigel,

  2. 1. Download QuickBMS: http://aluigi.altervista.org/papers/quickbms.zip
  3. 2. Extract the contents of quickbms.zip to the directory where your "nigel" file is.
  4. 3. Copy your "CrySystem.dll" from "bin32" to the folder where your "Nigel" file resides.
  5. 4. Right click save as this link: http://aluigi.altervista.org/papers/bms/crysis2.bms
  6. 5. Start QuickBMS and Select the script (crysis2.bms)
  7. 6. Select the file you want to extract, in our case the "Nigel" file.
  8. 7. Select the desired Output Folder
  9. and click start. The "Nigel" file's now unpacked completely :)
  10.  


If you want to do advanced things like repacking Nigel with new files, this(http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=58947&p=734470#postform) may help you. ;)

LOL dude, rename that file to Crysis2_MP_demo.exe. Somehow when you saved the file, you removed the .exe extension or saved it in a different format. Obviously you'll need to install the game first and then go through the files to perhaps find the relevant ones.

Open it in a hex editor and check the first few bytes. They may give an idea about what the file's format is.

try formates then. .zip, .rar, .7z, .tar, .exe, .xz ect.

7zip should be able to open most of them ,if you hit right one

I don't know about .xz, but the file's header doesn't look like any of the others you mentioned. ZIP, RAR, 7-Zip and TAR archives begin with "PK", "Rar!", "7z" and "ustar", respectively. EXEs are usually identified by having "PK" as their first two bytes. Trying to open the thing in 7-Zip is still a good idea, however; the program can auto-detect the format regardless of the extension.

i pet that nigel is smiling somewhere now :lol:
it seems that leaked version made them protect the Final game files to prevent any re-coding in further future

try universal extractor. or take a look at the file with PEiD.

UniExtract and 7zip are negative, but somehow WinRAR (3.91) can start to open the file, then errors out. Updating WinRAR as we speak and will try again.

Update: Latest WinRAR beta is a negative.

no use. It's some kind of modified PKZip arichiviaton mode with all CRCs at 0x00. Winrar opens it and crate a dritree because this particular modification mantains the footer of standard pkzip

Not worth the effort of writing a zlib wrapper then. Guess we just have to wait for Crytek to fix the bullshit with the demo servers then. I almost got the beta dedi running with the demo, but need to A.) be able to tell dedicated server to use the archive, or B.) inject files into the archive (so far just looks like the config files from the beta GameCrysis2/_FastLoad/startup.pak).
